As the days grow longer and the air gets warmer, going outside for a little exercise starts to sounds pleasant rather than daunting. Even if spring hasn't quite arrived in your hometown, there's nothing like a little pre-season shopping to get you in the mood to revamp your fitness routine. Here are some of our favorite pieces for the next few months.

Light Jackets for Cool Mornings
Throw on this bright yellow jacket from Lolë and hit the streets for a morning walk or wear it on the way to Yoga class. The fabric is designed to wick moisture away from the skin so don't worry about getting sweaty. ($100; available in sizes XXS-XL.)

The adorable
Sprint Jacket from Moving Comfort is both wind- and water-resistant making it perfect for unpredictable weather. ($90; available in sizes XS-2XL.)

Don't worry about the weather with this lightweight Anorak from Old Navy. It comes in springy mint green and pale blue. ($34.94; available in sizes XL-2XL.)

Short-Sleeves for Sweat Sessions
The super-feminine Flaunt It Tee from Moving Comfort celebrates spring with bright colors and flirty ruffles. Cute enough to wear with your favorite jeans, the fabric is designed to withstand your sweatiest workouts. ($45; available in sizes S-2XL.)

This Old Navy Running Top comes in pretty colors and includes breathable panels and reflective tape across the back. ($29.94; available in sizes 1X-4X.)

Nothing says you love exercise like this "Sweat Happy" T-shirt from Blogilates. Made of 92% cotton and 8% Spandex, this T hugs your curves in all the right ways! ($21; available in sizes 1X-3X.)

Cropped Pants for Warm Workouts
If the Moving Comfort Switch It Up Capri is too bright for your taste, just reverse it to its solid side for a more subdued look. ($68; available in sizes XS-XL.)

The Neon Contrast Waist Capri from Sól sports a bright band at the top that adds a pop of color plus comfortable support. ($52; available in sizes XL-2XL.)

For the warmest afternoons, throw on this adorable Tek Gear Skort for performance and style at the same time. ($30; available in sizes XS-XL.)

These black on black printed Old Navy capris are my favorite. They're flattering and fun at the same time. And they're cheap enough to buy in every pattern! ($29.94; available in sizes XS-2XL.)

Just for the Guys
The Nike Checkered Flash Men's Running Jacket is a serious piece of workout wear designed to keep the weather from ruining your run. ($200; available in sizes S-2XL.)

You'll need a lot of confidence to rock some of the more creative colors in these Fila Sport Golf Pants, but they come in black, too! ($60; available in 30-50 inch waist.)

This fresh green long-sleeve T from Alo is perfect for chilly morning walks or runs. The moisture-wicking fabric is also antimicrobial to cut down on odor-causing bacteria. Sweat more, stink less! ($42; available in sizes S-2XL.)

These Basketball Shorts from Old Navy have a bit more personality than most men's gym shorts that only come in black or gray. ($16.94; available in sizes S-3XL.)

Fresh Accessories
Athleta's Spring Tote may be a subdued gray on the outside, but it sports a fresh pop of purple when you open it. This gym essential includes a removable shoe bag and separate compartments for clean and dirty gear. ($79)

These colorful travel yoga mats can easily be folded to fit in your suitcase. They're thinner than traditional mats but provide plenty of traction for yoga, mat Pilates or other bodyweight exercises on-the-go. ($30)

Never miss a stride when taking a sip with this handheld water bottle. The insulated flask keeps water cold while the hand strap with thumbhole keeps the bottle firmly in your grasp. ($30)

Personal suggestion sign up for the site nike, walmart, shopko, kmart and other stores and wait for sales. I but 9 to 10 dollar danskin tanktops with built in bras for 1 to 3 dollars at my local walmart on clearance. Plus don't hesitate to check out garage sales and goodwills and even local things on facebook there are over 10 places in my local area where people sign up on facebook to sell things. Things from xbox 360s to tv to clothing to even fitness equipment. I don't use craigslist in my area for clothing because they price to high might as well go new if there going to be to high.

But there are many options out there. - 6/20/2014   7:34:42 PM

These options are way too expensive! Maybe try the article again with things that the average person can afford. - 4/2/2014   11:57:08 PM

Some of these clothes are really cute and fun! - 4/1/2014   10:05:38 PM

I love those Old Navy capris, but agree with MARYJEANSL on the price. Maybe I'll get one pair they are so cute! - 4/1/2014   6:14:16 PM

The writer says that a $30 pair of capris is cheap enough to buy one in every pattern. Seriously? Not in my household! I live on a budget, thank you very much, and it would be a huge splurge to buy ONE $30 pair. - 3/27/2014   10:35:41 PM

It seems like every piece of clothing that is shown is very expensive. Most people are not going to spend that much money on workout gear. - 3/27/2014   11:35:42 AM

Nice stuff, but all expensive. What about the good workout gear for the people who can't spend more than $20 on any given piece of gear. :( - 3/27/2014   6:51:43 AM

Those "switch it up capris" aren't even available. Too bad. - 3/26/2014   8:20:35 PM

Nice to get some style ideas but like others have said, I'll find alternatives at Walmart etc. - 3/26/2014   5:26:05 PM

it is amazing when i go back into my old gear - it is all the same just a different color or slightly longer/shorter etc. i find the quality is not there either - mine have been washed thousands of times, been in the garden/dirt etc and still hold their shape. a few seams given away but that was me expanding!!lol
i will stick with what i have - great sport bras etc. this stuff is too $$$$ and trendy - will be out soon - 3/26/2014   5:01:51 PM

So expensive. I'll stick with Wal-Mart Danskin Brand. If I am going to spend $100 on a jacket, it won't be for the gym! Spark people - you flopped with this article. - 3/26/2014   1:47:05 PM

Very true - way out of my budget! - 3/26/2014   1:00:51 PM

Yeah, this is all way overpriced. I got the black pants with pink top for Christmas. But they weren't the name brand and I guarantee they were less than $20. - 3/26/2014   12:22:23 PM

Very pricey. I like cute work out gear but would never spend that much. - 3/26/2014   12:21:50 PM

Those are a little out of my price range but they are super cute. I will end up finding look alikes at like Debs or Walmart - 3/26/2014   10:42:55 AM

Nice, but I can find like-items for less at Khol's, Target, Wal-Mart and JC Penney. Way out of my budget. - 3/26/2014   9:28:27 AM
