You are ABSOLUTELY correct - having the right music can make any workout more enjoyable. Several weeks ago, I spent hours filtering through my iTunes music looking for some great music to get me moving. I purchased a few of the SparkPeople compilations through Amazon.com and then added a few of my own '80s favorites. While I am walking a 30 minute mile right now - the music helped me to press through it and to not grow discouraged as I completed lap 5, 6, or 7 of 14. I kept singing along and before I know it - the walk was over and I was ready to stretch. - 10/16/2011   9:14:15 PM

Well, I've 'tested' the first few... perhaps Coldplay.
But like AppleTartzz, I like the oldies ... Sheryl Crowe (Soak up the Sun), Billy Joel (All About Soul). And I like some newer tunes too (Shakira: SheWolf & Hips Don't Lie), and Esmeralda Suite (which is on the Kill Bill movie and the artist name escapes me ATM!) But I do appreciate hearing the new tunes & it's great being able to only buy the ones I like ... So thank you for this blog and others like it! - 10/14/2011   8:47:37 AM
