As a mother of three kids, my circle of fellow parents, new friends, and my kids' teachers is really growing fast. This year, I'm trying to find simple gifts that will express my appreciation, share my commitment to health and wellness, and yet won't break the bank. I've gathered some of my all-time favorite simple homemade gifts below that will look beautiful, while creating fun memories in the kitchen with your loved ones.
Chef Meg's Fragrant Simmer Pot Sachet

Hot Cocoa Mix in a Jar

Nine Bean Soup Mix

Samantha's Cranberry Pumpkin Bread

Chef Meg's Vanilla Flavoring

Chef Meg's Pumpkin Pie Spice Mix

Apple Cider Spice Mix

Caramel Popcorn (Chef Meg's Makeover)

Stepf's Maple-Almond Butter Granola

Chef Meg's No Added Sugar Pumpkin-Apple Butter

I'll be making up some brownie-in-a-mug mix for my family. One is gluten and dairy free, so hers will be especially special! I'll be using vanilla powder as one of the ingredients. I just have to be careful to buy the real thing, not flavored sugar! - 11/23/2017   10:46:03 AM

Home-made gifts are wonderful and I've made them in the past. Not this year. I'm running so much that it's out of the question, especially when I'm not home on the weekends. Maybe next year. - 12/19/2011   11:14:20 AM

This year I made truffles (not low calorie by any means), cookies, canned rummed pears, pickles, and home brewed limeade. I love Christmas baking and cooking because it is a time that I can cook things I normally won't and give them away--all while getting to try just a bit of the goodies myself (and staying in my calorie ranges!). - 12/16/2011   11:44:11 AM
