The 14 Best Subscription Boxes Delivering Health to Your Door

By , SparkPeople Blogger
There is something special about opening up the mailbox and finding a package addressed just for you. Most of us don't ever outgrow that feeling you get when you slice through fresh packing tape to open a delivery—even if we already know what's inside. These days, you can get just about anything delivered right to your door—from diapers and fruit to yoga pants and shampoo.

Whether you're looking for a great gift to give that friend or family member who has everything or want to feel a little bit of occasional "package euphoria" yourself, subscription boxes can fill both needs.

Subscription services, which have skyrocketed in popularity over the last few years, come chock full of healthy meals, snacks, spices, cleaning products and clothes, all designed to meet the needs of your healthy lifestyle. So why not give the gift that keeps on giving?

Let's face it: Snacking is a part of life. Whether you didn't eat enough breakfast, forgot it entirely or just need a little extra nutrition to get you through your day, you're probably going to reach for a snack at some point. Unfortunately, not all easy snacking options are healthy (looking at you, break room vending machine) or convenient (walking six blocks in the rain to the mini mart on your work break isn't going to cut it).

Graze snack boxes handle both of those quandaries with ease. After selecting your specific preferences from among 100 healthy snack options, you'll receive a different weekly snack box delivered to your home or office to satisfy all your snacking needs. For around $13.99 for an eight-snack variety box, Graze is also great to give as a gift—who wouldn't delight in healthy snack delivery?

To me these food options are lazy. You don't know how they are really prepared or how clean they are. Go out to the store, read a recipe and cook. Less money and you know what is going into your body Report
Great suggestions. Report

Awesome blog!!! Thank you!!! Report
Some of these are interesting, but I've had to cancel boxes when they started to repeat items. Changing the color doesn't make it a new thing. Report
Too expensive some of these Report

Good info. Yes, I agree that some of the items are pricey. Report
Some sound good but not affordable. Report
these are crazy overpriced!! Report
Very expensive for most people, especially now! Still, it's interesting to see what's out there in the off chance I ever get much better off financially than I am now. Thanks. Report
The Love with Food looks good. May have to try that one although options are limited since I'm in Canada Report
I knew about some of these, but not all. An interesting article, for sure. Report
Thanks for the great article! :) Report
Very helpful. Thanks. Report
Some interesting ideas. Report
I subscribe to the runners box. It is $26 every 2 months and I love everything in there. I got a free pair of $20 running socks one. Totally cool Report
I tried Love With Food for several months and really liked it, but I ultimately quit because there were just too many sweet foods (and not enough salty/savory) for my taste. Also wanted to say that if anyone is looking for a great plus size activewear subscription box, check out Dia & Co. They have both activewear boxes and regular clothing boxes - all in plus sizes. I have used them a handful of times and have been very satisfied. Report
Sure it can be expensive depending on your budget. I did a 3-month subscription to Single Swag as a bday gift to myself. The boxes also contained items that make great gifts. Boom! Xmas shopping done! Report
They might look cool, but they are very expensive. Save your money! Not worth what you actually get Report
Thanks. Report
is it just me or do these kind of things seem expensive? Report
Thanks for sharing Report
interesting! Report
I tried Love With Food because of this article. It's a little pricey, but I really liked my first box. It's nice to be able to try small amounts of snacks and see what I like. Report
great. Report
Blue Apron is not healthy! Many of their recipes have tons of calories which is partially why I stopped getting deliveries from them. I mean, almost 1000 calories for one serving of one recipe/dish is not what I would consider to be healthy!!! I'm guessing that Blue Apron must have given SP money to advertise on the website. Report
We've come a far ways since Harry and David's fruit of the month or cheese of the month. I ordered Blue Apron to teach a family how to cook -- they're living on food stamps and food bank and don't know to cook frugally. Report
"...walking six blocks in the rain to the mini mart on your work break..." sounds like a fabulous idea to me, even better if the mini-mart has healthy snacks. Report
one or two I'm going to try...thank you for sharing. Report
We used some company, Magic Kitchen maybe... Report
I subscribed to Graze for a long time and loved it. I stopped because I wasn't eating them always and found I was gifting them more and more. I would consider it again. Report
I've tried Grave and they have really nice healthy snack options that are so convenient. This seems to be the world we live in however, I still enjoy the monthly fruit options. Report
I liked almost all of these. Report
Not for me... cute but out of my expense's budget Report
These box ideas look like a lot of fun, but a bit pricey for my budget. Report
Not sure if these are available in Canada. And I can guarantee they’ll be more expensive. Lol. I’ll check them out though. Report
No, I live in Canada and never heard of any, for a cheaper spice mix recipe club house sells a small spice mixture with 3-4 different spices in it and a recipe on the back, you could use your own recipe, they have 4 different varieties, I buy them at a $1.00 store for $1.25 a package and they have 3 kinds. I think they are $4.00 in other stores. Report
