Are you struggling to stick to your fall workouts now that the weather is turning cold and the mornings and evenings are getting darker? You're not alone.
My favorite way to get excited about working out is a simple one: I update my workout playlist. With some new get-up-and-get-moving tunes ready, I hit "play" instead of hitting snooze; and I re-energize my runs instead of relaxing at home.

Just created the list on Spotify and it should be open to any who have Spotify accounts or want to listen to them without fussing with the YouTube videos. Search for user MsDrPepper (all lower case I think works too.). I don't like the lyrics of all of them, but they do tend to have an energetic beat good for exercise.

I actually prefer spring & autumn weather for workouts (and in general), because the temps are less extreme so they don't bother my asthma. As for my playlist, it depends on the workout. Strength training - metal. Tai Chi - classical & Native American flute. Walking, hiking, and regular cardio - a mix of rock, metal, a little pop, with a smattering of country, blues, jazz, and oldies, depending on mood & location. Report

Gm fellow sparkies...i realized that everyone beats to there on beat..but fast music motivates when i am in my routine ...but before i do this i listen to enigma or india arie or even old school marvin, wind and know things like that helps me to do cool downs and is good for streching rotine so your mind and body can make a plece cool down or start you morning routine ...and also nature sounds for complete medtations to talk the stress of your mind and body aches and pains Report

OK, glad to know Matchbox 20 is back in business! I'm older too, so the list didn't inspire me either, but I did like a couple of the songs and will add them to my play list. Most of my workouts involve dancing, so I have a halloween Play List just for fall which has Dark lady by Cher, Boogie Man by KC & The Sunshine Band, Werewolves of London, The Munsters theme, This is Halloween, A belly dance version of I Put A Spell On you, I Want Candy by Bow Wow Wow, Ghostbusters, thriller, Bad Things and a cool down & stretch to the theme from Jaws! I usually have them arranged for warm up to work out to cool down! It is fun and I enjoy my work out whether I am dancing or walking or riding a stationary bike! Report
