By , Alicia Capetillo, Staff Writer
Sleeveless dresses, tank tops, a defined bicep, hauling the week's groceries inside with just one trip--there are a lot of great reasons to work to have strong arms. Working some weights and upper body exercises in to your routine reaps a world of benefits, so why not get started today?

Give your biceps, triceps, shoulders and chest the workout they need with six of our favorite routines from SparkPeople.TV. Flex!

Your Everyday Workout: Upper Body

If you've got four minutes, you've got time to work on the strength in those arms. Join "Facts of Life" star Lisa Welchel and trainer Janice Clark as they lead you through a series of dynamic moves that focus on the upper arms, but also get your core and legs firing. Try this short workout right after you wake up to get the day started on the right foot.

Sexy Shoulder Sculpt

Sculpted shoulders have a way of taking a dress from "You look nice" to "Oh, wow!" Work with fitness expert Andrea Metcalf for just five minutes and you'll feel a burn that will pay off once that warm-weather wardrobe comes out. In this video, you'll flow between six moves that will test your balance and stamina.

Keeping Fit in Your 50s: Triceps and Biceps

A good tricep is nothing without a good bicep, right? Work every muscle in your upper arm in this deceptively tough seven-minute workout. All you need is a chair, two dumbbells and a lot of determination.

Core Fusion: Upper Body from Exhale

The Exhale team of Fred and Elisabeth lead you through a fun, quick and relaxing workout for your entire upper body. As you push through the endurance-testing shoulder, chest, biceps and triceps exercises, remember, shaky muscles become strong muscles!

Body by Bethenny: Upper Body Strength

Bethenny is the first to admit that strength training can be intimidating, but this 10-minute routine is a great introduction to some essential moves. Celebrity trainer Kristin McGee is on hand with great tips and motivation to keep you going strong throughout each exercise.

Step-by-Step Strength Training: Upper-Body Sculpt

Fitness trainer Petra Kolber has an infectious energy about her and it is out in full swing in this energetic exercise routine. Combining traditional biceps curls and triceps extensions with some light, but effective mat work, this one has got moves that are sure to challenge and improve your strength.

I am putting this list in my Spark favorites. My upper arms and shoulders get sore easily so I focus on exer5cises to help them gently get stronger. Looks is not my real issue, but a nice side benefit - health is my focus. Report
I love doing an upper body workout! It makes me feel strong and it's a great way to tone those triceps and biceps! I think that form is the most important rather then how fast you kick out has many reps as you can! I think the slower you go the more you feel it! Report
Great compilation, thanks! Report
