Try to Lose Inches and Gain Confidence in Just 4 Weeks!

By , SparkPeople Blogger
Where does the time go? Every day, week and month that goes by, I am always in disbelief at how fast time passes. Now we're already into spring (can you believe it?) and summer is going to be here before we know it. I don’t know about you, but I tend to ramp up my workouts a bit when swimsuit season is coming. It helps me feel more confident at the beach or the pool (and heck, even in shorts) when I know I'm taking good care of my body and feeling strong.

If you'd like to enter the summer season a little more toned and confident, then be sure to join SparkPeople's Spring Into Shape Bootcamp! This 4-week fitness plan features my favorite resistance-band toning moves. In just four weeks, you'll be fitter and stand taller. All you have to do is follow the simple Bootcamp workout plan along with the free diet plan available at It's by far the most fun way to get fit!

The Spring Into Shape Bootcamp Challenge includes an easy-to-follow workout plan, built-in support, and motivational prizes! But don't let the name "Bootcamp" fool you. This motivating challenge isn't geared toward already-fit people or hardcore exercisers. However, it does involve a commitment to daily exercise—often in 10- to 15-minute chunks that fit into your day—so you can build a lasting exercise habit and get real results in just one month.

Here are 5 reasons to join Bootcamp today—and tell your friends!
  1. It's simple. I designed the Spring Into Shape Bootcamp plan to take the guesswork out of your workouts. You'll follow one of my free 10-minute workout videos each day, and do your favorite cardio activity 5 times per week. Because there are seven different Bootcamp videos and you get to pick your own cardio, working out will never be boring! All you need is an inexpensive resistance band and a computer to follow along with the free workout videos.
  2. It's free. You'll save money because you won't need a gym membership or any fancy equipment to get in shape. Like all SparkPeople resources, joining Bootcamp won't cost you a dime! As soon as you join, Bootcamp begins. You'll get one email each week with your workout plan and challenge tips.
  3. It's motivating. Other Bootcamp members will be there to cheer you on, answer your questions, and offer support when you need it. Each day that you check off another workout from your to-do list, you'll build confidence and momentum that will inspire you to keep going.
  4. It's fun! By taking part in the challenge, you're doing something new every day. Plus, we're giving away weekly prizes that you'll be eligible for just by participating: $25 gift certificates to The SparkPeople Store where you can buy water bottles, my workout DVDs, SparkPeople T-shirts and more.
  5. You could win $300 to! One lucky—and newly fit—participant will win the grand prize: a $300 gift certificate to! All you have to do is join the challenge and log your workouts on to be eligible for these great prizes! For official contest rules and terms, click here.

To join the challenge right now, go to Bootcamp officially begins April 29, so get yourself a resistance band and get ready to change your body!

I'll give it a try. Report
I am going to try these excerises today. Report
When I first started on SparkPeople, after 2 months, I did the 29 day Boot Camp. It got me to work out on a regular basis, it inspired me to try the walk/jog program which got me into the 5K running program, it burned excess weight, and it showed me what I could achieve! I encourage everyone to do a program or challenge throughout their journey. Whether you are just getting out of the starting gate or you want to change it up. I'm thankful for all of it! Report
This will have to wait for a while until some health issues are cleared up. Good luck to all who are participating. Report

I did this challenge last year. I would love to join now but am meeting with a personal trainer on Tuesday for my first time with her and she is starting me on a resistance program to build up muscle now that I have been at goal for 3 months. I just don't want to commit to this challenge not knowing how much time I would have to devote to it as well as the workouts she will be giving me. I am sorry as I would have loved being eligible for the prizes you are offering this time around! Good luck to all who join! Report
I participated last spring and it helped me reach my goal weight. I'm signing up this year to be part of a fun challenge and my Spark friends are part of it. Report
