Get your makeup done in just five minutes with these in-a-flash tricks.

Step 1: Foundation
Mix dime-size amounts of sunscreen and liquid foundation -- we like Maybelline New York SuperStay 24HR Makeup ($10.99, drugstores) -- in the palm of your hand and apply it like lotion. For foolproof blending, "make sure they're the same type of formula -- both oil-free, for example," says Petra Strand, a Los Angeles-based makeup artist.

Step 2: Concealer
Using a concealer stick, such as Neutrogena Healthy Skin Smoothing Stick ($6.49, drugstores), swipe a line of color along the orbital bone of each eye. (Think football-player stripes.) To nix dark shadows, work the color into your skin with fingertips; the warm touch will help the makeup go on smoothly, preventing a cakey effect.

Step 3: Blush
Dot cream blush, like Sonia Kashuk Creme Blush in Petal ($9.99, target.com), onto the apples of your cheeks; blend in a circular motion. Then tap the shade onto your lips. "Applying the same color to your skin and mouth instantly awakens your face," Strand explains.

When I worked out at a gym, I would swipe my face with a cleansing towelette, apply mineral makeup with SPF, add waterproof eyeliner (Urban Decay liners are great but Sephora brand ones are just as good but cheaper!), quick swipe of mascara and colored lip gloss. I have a good glow after a workout so no need for blush : D - 5/16/2011   4:33:01 PM

I do not wear make up, when I work out, I wouldn't think that could be too good for your skin. I don't apply it after either, except for some mascara and lipstick, if I have to go to the store, or somewhere, on the way home. - 5/13/2011   11:54:44 PM

Since my workout is a swim I don't wear makeup to the gym. I usually go without afterwards too except for moisturizer. I have seen some really great fast makeovers by women there that go back to work after their swim. It is amazing how fast many of them are! - 5/13/2011   10:30:03 PM

I go to the gym in the morning. I just wash my face, get dressed, and go. When I am finished, I go home, take a shower, and then put on my makeup, etc. - 5/13/2011   1:33:12 PM

I work out in the morning, before make-up goes on. I think if I got all hot and sweaty I would have to wash it all off and start over. - 5/13/2011   10:43:18 AM

I don't know about everyone else, but I stay quite warm for a long time after a workout--if I tried the liquid foundation/sunscreen I think it would melt right off my face. I use mineral make-up which is pretty quick to apply and seldom wear any mascara or liner to minimize contact lens irritation. - 5/12/2011   8:17:10 PM

You actually shouldn't mix sunscreen and foundation if your aim is to get adequate sun protection, because the mixing dilutes it and you won't end up using enough. Apply sunscreen separately before foundation. - 5/12/2011   1:13:02 PM

I wear very light foundation so I usually work out without taking it off. I do replenish with a light powder after I shower but the concealer stick would probably be better! - 5/12/2011   10:33:39 AM
