  • All photo submissions must be in focus and of high resolution. If submissions are blurry and hard to see, we can’t post them, and therefore, you may be disqualified.

  • Minimum photo dimensions for entry are 600 pixels (height) by 300 pixels (width). Jpg or png photos are both acceptable formats.

  • We prefer full-body shot photos, but will also accept waist-up photos. Note that we cannot accept photos that include anyone other than you. Photos must be family-friendly.
If submissions do not meet these criteria, they may be subject to disqualification.

My favorite summer fitness activity is biking and walking. It's great being out in the fresh air and sunshine. Report
I love to go for my bike rides (shortest is usually 6.73miles - longest so far is 10.94miles -depending on how much time I have - but the 6.73mile ride I can do in 28-30mins...) and then walking/running my dogs around the block (and that takes me about 1/2 mile for each one of them...) - both dogs just love getting out with me for those "walk/runs" - and it's really great exercise for them and for me...:) Report
Riding my bicycle and working in the yard. Report
Walking when it is cool enough--which hasn't been that often this summer. Working out a lot in the gym and exercise DVDs at home this summer due to the 3 digit heat.

However, I get a lot more housework done in the summer. With the longer days, I am more active when I get home from work. During the winter, it is often dark when I leave the house in the morning, and dark when I get home. I feel like I am in a cave and just want to hibernate (and often due, unfortunately). Report

Treadmill! Even though I live in the Midwest (where we rarely get "to" 100F), this year and last year surpassed 100F and kept going -- and stayed.

The treadmill is something that I can do in air conditioning. I'm grateful for that option! Report
I love to walk early in the morning or late at night. The sights and the sounds are so different yet so beautiful. Watching the birds having their first meal or the stars and the planets is my idea of heaven.
When I am not walking, riding horses is my real love. Being one with this magnificent creature, is often the greatest enjoyment I can have. Nature and her beauty gives me the greatest gift I could ask for. Report

So many summer activities to choose from... Absolute favorite is the destination bike ride or walk - heading off to the farmers market (Saturdays only), the Co-op or Farmer Q's (local produce store - sells Michigan produce when it is in season, but carries other stuff too when it isn't available "locally") ... Going on bike or on foot means I get exercise and fresh, local food - PLUS, I don't over-buy anything because I have to carry it home! Report
Walking in the morning. It's still relatively cool but it's still light enough out to be able to not walk in the dark. And frequently I get to see deer along my route. :) Report
