Jump-Start Your Motivation with Our February Challenge!

By , SparkPeople Blogger
See if this sounds familiar: It's cold and dark outside. You're tired and cranky, and that once-shiny New Year's resolution you made at the beginning of the month is starting to look less and less appealing. Even despite your best intentions to plan your exercise and healthy meals, all you really want to do is eat a cookie, take a nap and lie in bed for a long, long time.

We get it. If the novelty of your New Year's resolution is starting to wear off, you're not alone. Statistically, only 8% of people who make New Year's resolutions actually stick to them. But guess what? You're already one step ahead of the curve, because we're here to help you make gradual, attainable lifestyle changes by offering consistent support, motivation and resources. No matter what goals you've made for 2014, we're not going to let you drop them. Don't sacrifice what you want most in the long term (better health, more energy, weight loss, etc.) for what you want right now (to veg out on the couch). YOU are worth more than that, and you deserve to live your best life. That's why we're going to help you press on through the darkest days of winter with our #2Fit2Quit social challenge for February!

If you participated in our #RockYourResolution challenge, you'll love #2Fit2Quit. All you have to do to participate is to squeeze in at least 10 minutes of exercise every day in February. Each day, we will be posting daily tips and motivation on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and Google+ using the #2Fit2Quit hashtag so you can follow along.

Here are four ways to participate (don't worry--you only have to pick one!):

1) Post to FacebookTwitter, or Google+ with the hashtag #2Fit2Quit to let us know what your goal is and how your progress is going. Then, we'll serve up tips and encouragement to keep you headed in the right direction!

2) Comment on our pins on Pinterest, or pin your own personal goal-related images with the hashtag #2Fit2Quit.

3) Every day, post an image specific to your goals on Instagram, using the hashtag #2Fit2Quit.

4) Finally, if you don't use social media, start a SparkStreak and update your SparkPage status or blog every day to keep yourself accountable!

So, who’s in for #2Fit2Quit? Let’s keep the New Year's momentum going!

Psst! Don't forget to "Like" us on Facebook and follow us on InstagramTwitterPinterest, and Google+  for daily tips and encouragement!

Can't wait, I'm ready!! I love the Winter Wellness Challenge, and really enjoyed the variety and learning some new things. And most of all, it kept me moving everyday. This is the most stressful and exhausting time of year, so very important to keep going and work off stress.

Thank you! Report

I'm gonna try this. I'm in such a funk lately & hopefully this will help. I'm drinking lots of water everyday, & tracking my food but I'm having issues tracking my exercise or maybe it's the lack of exercise to track :( However I'm ready for the February challenge & hopefully it helps me keep on track :) Report
