I liked Coach Nicole's barre workout--all 3 sections I've found--which caused no pain. One problem I've found with some of Jessica's workouts is the fact that she works on bare floor, not carpet, and when I try the moves, it strains my knees--like the foot pivot in this workout. Even the first warm-up in this one bent the knees and were done at a speed that may have aggravated the joints, although they didn't start hurting right away. Some of hers I've enjoyed and like to repeat, but others, like this, caused considerable pain and I won't touch again. Report
Jessica offers many barre options, this one is not a personal favorite. Barre routines include MANY reps, they are killer workouts. (Her playlist on YouTube is extensive, easy to access, and free!) Knee friendly does not mean easy...her video on strengthening your knees sure helped me. Building the muscle around the knees makes a huge difference in how the knees track. Even my fake knees won't always cooperate. I work hard to find ways to make them happy...barre helps with this! Report
OMG, I hated this. Hard on my neck and arms--way too many reps. I lightened weights, but finally had to give up. And yeah, my knee is hurting now. This is not one of hers I want to try again. Report
