As the weather starts to turn colder, I find myself turning to my dutch oven to prepare my favorite Fall soup recipes. Not only does soup have a pleasant warming effect, but it is uniquely suited to incorporate the bountiful produce from the Autumn harvest. All you really need is a few fresh cut herbs, the spices that already inhabit your cupboard, and whatever proteins and vegetables hanging around your refrigerator and you are just minutes away from an easy one pot meal. Don't forget to re-use your soups as leftovers or freeze them to enjoy in the coming weeks. Check out these top soup recipes from SparkRecipes to get warm, get cozy, and get healthy.
I made a pot of veggie soup with produce from the garden, green beans, corn, tomatoes, carrots, onions and garlic, I added a can of white beans!

I really like the chicken tortilla soup that is on Spark. I have also had the creamy chicken rice, though I can't eat rice that much. One of my favorites I make is green chili and I also like potato, cheese and ham (though that's also supposed to be a no, no). I want to try the tomato and the coconut chicken and one other I saw on here. I am looking for a good chicken and vegetable to give to a friend for Christmas.

Does anyone know what the soup/recipe is in the picture up top? That looks awesome! Like minestrone/veggie?

Love soup and make tons of it. Butternut squash soup is on my 'to make' list this week. It's ok to freeze soups with chunks of potatoes in them, but the potato gets mealy tasting.

Becasue I work 12+ hour day (sometimes more) and due to my work am surrounded by food (rough but someone has to do it) I always try to look for healthy alternative I pop in my bag so I am not tempted by a drive through. Lately the Caribbean Black Bean Soup from New England Country Soup has been my grab-n-go, heat and eat lunch on the run. I must say that Chef Meg Garden Harvest Soup is one I want to try when I can actually find some time to cook up a pot of my own.

butternut squash in my favorite now. I caramelize the onions to help thicken the soup using olive oil, then I add a little cumin for a little punch!

I hate to cook. But, I do remember coming home from school and my mother had Potato Soup cooking on the stove and the house smelled SO good. How I wish I could go back there again for one day. Yummmy.

I love the Rustic Italian Tortellini soup. Sometimes I make it without meat and sometimes I include meat. It's delicious both ways and so easy to make!
