My favorite snack when I'm nearly out of calories is a sliced up cucumber sprinkled with garlic salt and cayenne pepper. It's crunchy, salty and you get a lot of it for almost no calories. It's my go-to snack when I get hit with the midnight munchies. Report
I like Laughing Cow cheese with celery or a couple of Melba Toast snack rounds! Report
Thanks for putting a list together for us. Wish it were longer. LOL Report
Great blog! It is good to see the visual of what a good snack is. Report
thanks that's a good list Report
It feels very deceptive to read:
Click here to see more nutritious foods for 100 calories or less!
And then be rerouted to another website!
    I hate that!!! Report
This was interesting, but NOT 50 foods and when I clicked the "see more foods" link, I was taken to Womens Day and never found any more foods...??The pictures are very deceptive! The cheese looks like 3/4 of a pound! and when I log my boiled egg it comes out as 90 calories on SP. Report
awwww, portion control! We all need a nudge once in awhile Report
Great to see my favorite foods here. Report
I share other people's confusion about the cheese photo! Portion control with CHEESE is a toughie -- especially when cheese is so nutrient-dense(!)--since cheese cubes have no "natural" scale. The scale problem is funny in this photo, but the photographer has unwittingly reproduced a key problem we all encounter with portion control and marketing (er, "serving suggestion" anyone?) . Report
I wish the list was longer...but helps thanks Report
Celery with one triangle flavored Laughing Cow cheese Report
Yea, the cheese pic made me stop. 3/4 oz is what I eat for a snack many mornings and it is a very small piece of cheese. Report
    wow Report
    Thanks for this list! Report
    Great list. Report
Great list - but that picture of 3/4 of an ounce of cheddar is horribly deceptive - that looks to be 3-4 ounces, not 3/4 of 1 ounce! Report
    What helpful information. Thanks Report
    blueberries are my favorite Report
5 baby carrots are only 17 calories & you can add a small amount of Ranch Dressing for dip to still be way under 100 calories. Report
