Try this link to save on food purchases. I've used them in Ohio and my Mom uses them in Kansas. We figure we save between 30-50%. There is no income cap. They take cash credit cards and food stamps: www.angelfoodministries.co

I need some inspiration on my eating habits.
I am a sugar acolic or something like that.
    excercise habits or ok.
I strength train 2 days a week with a trainer of a group of 4-5.
I am 63 and am told that I have the endurance of a 40 year old.
was told that at Boot Camp also,so excercise is not the problem,I just can't get it with the sugar problem.
I don't eat many real meals.............mainly sugar and can't seem to stop.
Just seem to be a real looser in the wrong way.
    Thanks for listening.

I was able to link to the vitamin water article. Perhaps too many were trying to get to it at the same time.

I always check coupons.com before going to the store. I usually can save on yogurt and often a couple other things. The coupons do out date, so I don't print them unless I plan to use them.

I am looking forward to trying the coupon link that Stepfanie listed. - 2/2/2009   5:59:18 AM

Here are a few links I find very helpful. Enjoy!

http://www.abcbodybuilding.com / - Some really good strength training moves and some very interesting (if not very scientific) articles on nutrition.
    http://www.naturalphysiques.com / - A great FAQ section and on-line fat percentage calculator.
http://www.nutritiondata.com / - A superb companion to Sparkpeople to get more information on the foods you eat. - 2/1/2009   10:39:29 AM

Keeping the frozen fruit article, it's been years since I've had a chocolate covered banana....doing them in bite size portions will make it easier not to munch til their gone, at least for me. I've finally learned how to incorporate small treats, such as dark chocolate (or chocolate in general) back into my nutritional plan without going overboard and it's great, I'm able to eat ONE Hershey Stick or ONE Bliss and get enough enjoyment out of it without trying to eat an entire monster bar or bag. I love being in control of my food instead of vice versa! - 2/1/2009   10:36:41 AM

Went to the link about snacks & was disappointed. Protein snacks will stick with you longer and not cause the insulin surge that a straight carb snack will cause. Even if you're not diabetic, if you've been significantly overweight, its important to pay attention to blood sugar for weight loss. - 2/1/2009   9:16:03 AM

Thanks for the healthy snack link. I used to buy the 100 calorie packs, until I started reading what's in them lol. I do like goldfish crackers- you can portion them (or anything else out) in zip lock bags so you don't over eat. I also keep Fiber One bars at work for aftenoon slumps. - 2/1/2009   9:14:23 AM
