More Healthy 5-Minute Lunches

Hey, dailySpark readers! It’s Anne again from the food and fitness blog fANNEtasticfood! If you’re in a rut with your packed lunches, this quick post is for you.

My previous “How To Pack Lunch in 5 Minutes” post was such a success that we’ve decided a follow-up post is in order. Here are some more of my favorite delicious and super easy 5-minute packable lunches. Most of the posts include an afternoon snack idea as well! Try these portable lunches for work, school, or anytime you’re on the go!

#1: Two Minute Mexican Bean Salad

#2: Cheesy Avocado Tuna Sandwich (sounds weird, but is awesome).

#3: Hummus, tabouleh, fresh tomato, and mixed greens pita sandwich

I hope you enjoyed the second installment of my 5 minute packable lunches! Do you usually pack lunch for work or school? If not, give it a try – not only is it healthier than buying lunch, it’s much cheaper, too!

    I'm now retired, but when I was working I packed my lunch everyday. Some days I would have a sandwich and other days I would have a salad which included protein. I also tried to have some kind of fruit every day. I always fixed my lunch the night before so I didn't have to worry about it in the morning.     That's a lot of dairy/cholesterol, Pickie89. You should replace some of it with some vegetables. More fiber, less fat, plus, you get closer to your five a day. A small greens salad, perhaps? A handful of baby carrots? - 9/30/2010   11:47:28 PM

    I pack my break food five days a a week: 1/2 c FF cottage cheese, 1 serving fruit, 1 packet sugar free oatmeal, 1 6oz carbwise yogurt, 1 mozarella stick as backup.(I am diabetic)
    All for about 400 calories, I burn 85% of my calories at this time, teh protein holds me wonderfuly! I restrict my breads so sandwiches are not for me this time of day, but the ideas are great! - 9/30/2010   6:34:36 PM

    These are great ideas for me when I have an apointment to keep during lunch. I'm a stay at home mom and wife. Not that I always stay at home. lol. I'm new to eating healthy so I'll have to do some shoping. Good tips tho. Thank you. - 9/30/2010   3:42:11 PM
    I pack my lunch for work 95% percent of the time. My latest fav sandwich is bean spread (mayacaba bean, caramelized onion, garlic) with greens, mushroom, bell pepper, tomato and deli mustard. On good bread of course (Dave's Killer Bread - Good Seed). The bread makes the sandwich. Yum! - 9/30/2010   2:24:36 PM
