I've done fruit kabobs before and presented them as a rainbow on a big rectangular platter. Make each kabob the same and do a fruit in each color of the rainbow: red (strawberry, apple), orange (canteloupe), yellow (pineapple, banana), green (kiwi or green grapes) blue (a few blueberries) and purple (red grapes). Looks great and tastes great! - 6/8/2014   4:06:43 PM

Never thought of using Skrewers as a method of portion control before. This article I'll pass on to my girls ( both on WW ). Since it is grilling time, how about more portion control methods. A great big thanks. - 7/7/2011   1:02:26 PM

Most of these sound delish. Thanks for listing them.

For something different: saw an article in the latest Family Circle about state fair foods, and the article listed 'spaghetti and meatballs on a stick' as a favorite in one U.S. state. Now that's different! - 7/7/2011   10:09:05 AM

Those caprese skewers sound yummy! I might try them with Panela, a Queso that doesn't melt -- that way, I can grill 'em! Grilled tomatoes are my heaven on earth :-) - 7/7/2011   7:09:50 AM

I like the fruit kabobs. It came as a major surprise to me at my fourth-grade Christmas party when the kabobs a mom sent were the first things to disappear: strawberries, cantaloupe, grapes, banana - no dip! That's definitely going to feature at future class events, like maybe the monthly birthday party.
