I love salads and most of these look like great ideas for daily consumption and not just for Memorial Day weekend. Thanks. - 5/26/2010   12:12:37 PM
We will be having family over for a cookout. I think I'm going to put the House Salad on my menu. I know my hubby will love it. The cucumber salad sounds really good, too. I make something very similar but with fat-free ranch dressing instead of the Italian.

I'll also be making my Tropical Ambrosia salad which is a family favorite. It is shared on SparkRecipes.com. Search on "Tropical Ambrosia" if you're interested. Another side will be grilled baby potatoes skewered on fresh rosemary stems.

I'm looking forward to having a lot of salad suppers. That's one of my favorite things about summer.

I'm with Leonisha - not too sure about mixing veggies/lettuce with fruit. I tend to prefer my salads and meals savory and my desserts sweet. But that's just me. I've seen a lot of restaurants offering salads with fruit lately. - 5/25/2010   3:53:32 PM
