Kelly: "I have been on BabyFit.com since around September 2005, right after I found out I was pregnant. I don't know how I could have coped with my pregnancy without these amazing women who make up the April Boards. We have become very close. We have everything from "Toilet Paper Tuesday" which we used to measure our baby bumps to many, many posts title "VENT" that made me understand that there are others out there like me (and completely different) that care. I used BabyFit for many tools throughout my pregnancy and beyond, but the support from this group of intelligent, compassionate women is priceless." BRRWRIGHT: "I am an April 2006 mommy. My son was due April 7th; however, he was actually born on April 5th. When I found out that I was pregnant, it was a huge surprise. You see, we already had an 11-year-old and a 9-year-old. Starting over with a new baby was not in the plan. Although, I knew I would love the baby tremendously, it took me a great deal of time to accept the situation. I immediately began looking around on the web for information about pregnancy and ran across the BabyFit Web site. I used the information to determine my due date and track various information throughout my pregnancy. When I discovered the "due date discussion boards," it truly made a difference for me. Although I didn't participate in the discussions as often as others, and I didn't become as close to some of the women as others, I truly sensed the companionship offered by them. I referred to the discussion board daily throughout my pregnancy and continue to do so now. I found that I could just sit back and "listen" or participate as much as I liked. When I did post, everyone was always so accepting of anything said and eager to offer advice or helpful information when needed. I referred many of my pregnant friends to the Web site and encouraged them to join the due date discussion board. The bond and companionship found was an unexpected bonus when I started looking around. I would love to meet some of the ladies myself, as others have; although, it's not possible at this time. I think it's wonderful that women from all over the world and with so many different backgrounds can share such a tremendous experience with each other and offer such amazing support, advice, and ideas. I commend all of those involved in the April 2006 discussion board --- and this turned out to be my most enjoyable (and knowledgeable) pregnancy yet. By the way, my little surprise turned out to be the blessing of my life, and I have two wonderful built-in babysitters to boot." Continued › |
