Great Pregnancy Fitness Begins with a Walk

Walk slower to lower your heart rate in the last 5 to 10 minutes of your walk. Your body needs to cool down. Stretch your back, arms, shoulders, and spine to prevent and ease post-walk soreness.

Cautions
Never walk to the point of exhaustion or breathlessness. If you push yourself too hard, your body is forced to use oxygen that should go to your baby. If you experience any of these symptoms, call your healthcare provider immediately: vaginal bleeding, dizziness, fainting, blurred vision, or contractions.
