Los Angeles, California is the fourteenth healthiest city for pregnancy according to BabyFit.com’s list of Top 100 Cities for Healthy Pregnancies.Los Angeles placed in the top twenty for the categories of the smallest percentage of women with pregnancy anemia and the smallest percentage of women with pregnancy related hypertension. Additionally, they city scored in the top 40 for one other healthy pregnancy indicator of the smallest percentage of mothers who use any tobacco during their pregnancy. This is not the first time Los Angeles has been honored. Among its numerous awards, in 2004 Los Angeles was ranked #6 on Forbes.com’s list of “Best Places for Singles.” Los Angeles was again honored as one of the “Best Places for Singles” in 2005, placed at #7.
