Closed: Win Some Love Grown Granola!

This contest is closed!

A few months ago, one of our co-workers sent me an email raving about a new granola he had tried after a 5K in his neighborhood. Not only had he tried the products and loved them, but he had also met one of the owners. He thought it was a local, Cincinnati-based company. As it turns out, the company, Love Grown Foods, is based in Denver, which made it that much cooler that the co-founder was at a small charity race thousands of miles from home.

We received two batches of samples to try, and we were smitten. The granola is full of clusters and big chunks of fruit and nuts. It's mildly sweet, and, according to the company:
  • Free of Refined Sugar
  • Free of High Fructose Corn Syrup
  • Free of Trans Fats
  • Free of Hydrogenated Oils
  • Free of Artificial Flavors
  • Free of Preservatives
  • Free of Gluten
  • Free of Genetically Modified Ingredients
Yum! We tried all their varieties: Apple Walnut Delight, Cocoa Goodness, Raisin Almond Crunch, Simply Oats and Sweet Cranberry Pecan. We liked them all. Cocoa Goodness was my personal favorite. With bits of dark chocolate and cocoa-covered oats, it was a healthier version of Cocoa Pebbles. It really satisfied my sweet tooth.

Today Love Grown Foods is sharing the (granola) love with you! Five of you will win a bag of Love Grown Granola-- in the flavor of your choice.

I love granola, and found a local chocolate one that is great. I have to be careful though, I am allergic to most of the nuts that are added to granola. Report

I love granola with yogart and berries every morning at my desk before my work day starts and it's part of my daily "take care of me" activities. Report
OK, this was just mean! Sounds so good, but when I went to the website it said that they couldn't ship it to Florida, that I could buy it online at Amazon......and Amazon only had the Cranberry Pecan available and you made the Cocoa Goodness sound so good that it was #1 on my list.......really wish it was available in a more wide spread area before I got all worked up about it!! Report
I think the apple walnut sounds good if I'm in the mood for healthy food, but the Cocoa would be good if I was craving chocolate. Report

Gee whiz, all the people on Spark and they are only giving away 5 bags! Report
Yeah, but "Cocoa Goodness" has 130 calories per QUARTER CUP. Cocoa Pebbles has 38 calories per quarter cup. Cocoa Goodness might be "healthier" but honey and agave, though not refined sugars, are still loaded with empty calories. Report
love to try it Cocoa Goodness... Report
I make my own granola; lower sugar and can control the flavors. But it's still nice to see a company who isn't afraid to give samples away!!! I would sure try it... Report
I would like to try the raisin almond crunch! Yummy Report
Their products aren't in stores in my area. But I just ordered a 6 pack variety pack from Amazon.com ! Perfect snack for my son and I to take on our hikes! :) Thanks for posting this! Report
Granola is my go to cereal with my morning yogurt. And after the week I have had I could use the "Love." All the flavors sound delicious, but I can't eat walnuts. Thanks Love Grown Foods. I will look for you in my local Earth Fare. Report
I would like the Apple Walnut one. They look yummy. Report
They all sound delicious....I would choose something with fruit in it, either the cranberry or raisin one. I love granola but do not usually buy it because they are usually high in calories because of the sugar content.
Report
cranberry pecan would be mine!

I think it would be Apple Walnut or Raisin Almond Crunch for the vitamins. I like chocolate too much and would be afraid I would not limit how much I eat. Don't usually eat granola due to the high calories. Report
Wow these sound yummy! Especially the cranberry pecan and the cocoa goodness! Report
I think I would like the Cranberry Pecan or the Simply Oats;

I wonder what the nutrition label looks like.
Will they start selling them in HyVee stores? Report
I usually like a cinnamon flavored granola but I'd like to try the Cocoa Goodness.
