Ooh, sorry I missed this one! It's my husband's favorite cereal. As healthy as it it, however, it's too much carbs for me with brittle Type 1.5 LADA Diabetes. Report
KRAYNOK
YAY! I got 2 cases of cereal in the mail today. I forgot I entered this. I'll be taking a case to the local food bank! Thanks Uncle Sam's and SparkPeople!! Report
Never heard of it, but I'll keep an eye out. I confess I like cereal soggy, or, I prefer to think, moist & "comfort-food-ish". Some of the "crunchy" ones remind me of things I used to feed my horse. :-) Report

i've seen in my local store but never tried it. i prefer crispy cereal but don't eat much of it - most get too soggy too quickly for me. i'll look for this again next time i shop Report
I've seen this cereal for years, but never bought it. I enjoy Cream of Wheat though, and also like crispy dry cereal, just depends on the mood at the time. Willing to try anything with flaxseed and flaxmeal, love the stuff, helps the weight to slide off. Report
Sounds great! I'd love to try it. Report
I've never heard of it but I would try it. I like to pour my milk on my cereal and let it sit a min. or two then eat it! Report

I'm going to see if I can find some of this at the store. I like my ceral crunchy! Report

Yum! I love Uncle Sam! I have been eating this delicious cereal since I was a kid, although for a few years I couldn't find it very easily. Trader Joe's has it now, at a good price! For those who haven't tried it, this stuff is great. It is heartier and more filling than many other cereals, while still being packed with good nutrition. As for the crispy vs soggy preference, I actually like both, and this cereal is particularly good for this: I add a good amount of milk, start eating right away to enjoy the crispy goodness, and as it gets soggy I'm lovin' that too! Yum! It's 6pm and I am craving some now! :) Report
One more thing to "jazz" up the morning! And I love my cereal crispy!! Report
i've not heard of it but would like to try it. Report
I've never seen it before. Sounds good. Report
I've never seen this before or tried it, but I certainly would like to try it. It sounds great!! It would be even better if I can try it for free! I never eat cereal with milk--crispy all the way. Report
It is my favorite cereal - love it with Greek Yogurt. Report

I like my cereal in-between. Not real soggy but after it sits in the milk for a minute or two.
I've never heard of Uncle Sam's cereal, but the honey almond sounds really good. Report

This is very good cereal. I don't like milk or soggy cereal, so I pour the milk on and immediately drain it off. It's also good in yogurt. Report

I love the Uncle Sam Cereal. I discovered it about 2 years ago, and eat it often. I was not aware of the other varieties, I have never seen them in any of the stores that I shop in. Report
I don't drink milk so my cereal is always crispy. Report
I have never heard or seen this before.............but would be willing to try it.........sounds very healthy..I am all for that!!! Report
I have been eating Uncle Sam since I was a kid. Love those flax seeds, in fact I usually add an additional tablespoon to my serving. I am still eating it, and buy it at Trader Joes for $2.99 a box...a real bargain in the cereal world. I have seen it at other stores, though usually priced $1+ more. Just add a little non-fat milk and some berries (raspberries are my personal favorite, but blackberries or blueberries are great, too). Enjoy Report
I actually love this cereal, but haven't had it in awhile. I am adding it to my grocery list so that I will get it next trip to the store!! Thanks for the reminder :D Report

I prefer my cereal crunchy. I don't eat fast enough to be able to add milk before it goes soggy so I always eat my cereals dry. My current fav cereal is the Kashi Go Lean crisp. I have seen Uncle Sam cereal in the store so perhaps when I am out of Kashi I will try some. It does sound good too Report
Don't think they sell Uncle Sam in Canada. But I love my cereal crunchy . . . Report
First of all, in answer to the question, I like my cereal crunchy and satisfying, not soggy.

I have never tried or even noticed this brand on store shelves but I will definitely be looking for it next time I go grocery shopping, it sounds great! Thanks Sparkpeople Report
Never heard of this kind of cereal. Would love to try it! Report
This is my absolute favorite cereal, but it is hard to find! I clear the shelves every time I find it and I like it crunchy! I would be deliriously excited if I won! Report
Crispy! I use maybe 2 tablespoons of milk for one cup of cereal. I can't stand soggy bread of ANY kind and that definitely includes cereal. Report
I am a crunchy fan, so I have to eat my cereal as soon as possibly after the milk touches it. Report
I have seen the cereal, but have never tried it. I like my cereal crispy. I prefer to eat cereal dry as a snack versus cereal that has milk or it. Report

I have never heard of Unc.e Sam cereal, but now that I have, I would love to try it. I like some cereal crisp while others I like soggy. Report
Used to be one of the few ways to get flax seed in an ordinary, middle of the road grocery. Hope they are thriving despite the competition they now have. Report
I've seen Uncle Sam products in Whole Foods, but never thought to buy a box because they were a little on the pricey side. Since Whole Foods sells them, I figured they must be a good product. I'll have to try a box some time.

Also, I do prefer crunchy cereal. hate soggy. Report
I have this cereal in my cabinet at home right now. I love it. I mix it in my Greek yogurt in the morning.

From a child to a young adult all I ate was dry cereal. I hated soggy cereal and would have never add milk to my bowl, but a couple of years ago I tried it and now sometimes I do use milk, but only a little so that the cereal will not get too soggy. Report
I've never seen this cereal brand.

And depending on the cereal, I might like it crispy or soggy. I like flakes and circles crispy. But my fave, shredded wheat (the real kind) needs to be soggy. Same with Grape Nuts - soggy, and with raisins added. Yum! Report
I have never used Uncle Sam cereal. I have not seen it on Canadian shelves. Can we get it in Canada? Report
Never heard of it before... Report

I have never heard of Uncle Sam's Cereals and I like mine soggy. Report
DOCKSIDER
The only variety of Uncle Sam cereal I've tried is the "regular whole-wheat flakes and flaxseed"--and I enjoy it. If I see the "Wild Strawberry" or "Honey Almond" varieties on the shelf, I'll probably give them a try -- for a change of pace.

And to answer the question -- I prefer my cereal crispy (although that's not always an option with some of the cereals I eat). But I must admit, the thing I like most about soggy cereals is the fact that the milk that is left in the bottom of the bowl takes on the cereal's flavor and is actually very tasty. Report
