The Split Pea & Sweet Potato soup sounds promising. Going to try it with Indian spices instead of the bay leaf. And snow peas are always wonderful!
None - don't like peas. Report
Yum! I love peas! I'll probably try the Minty Snow Pea Salad, Snow Pea Sesame Chicken Salad, Snap Pea and Corn Salad, and Sweet Pea Guacamole at some point!
I love frozen and fresh peas but I always forget that I have the frozen ones. I'll add them to something this week thanks for the ideas. Report
The snow pea and sesame chicken sounds good. I'll be growing peas in my garden this year!! Report
I make up a Pea Salad, I thought it was from JoAnna M. Lund's "Healthy Exchanges" cookbook, but I can't find it right now.... It used frozen peas run under water to thaw and add chopped up onion, celery and red pepper., and olives. The dressing was just maio and milk seasoned with sugar sub. to taste.... I love it.

My mother used to always use those canned mushy peas so I didn' t eat them for years either, but the frozen ones are so much better. Report
I add peas to orzo and sprinkle a little feta cheese on top for a quick side dish. Report
I LOVE peas. Not those nasty snap pea things or oriental variations. Yech! It is practically impossible to improve on fresh peas with a bit of your favorite butter. I am disappointed that a recipe for something with nice garden peas and a flavorful topping was not included. Report
Sorry but I still DISLIKE COOKED peas - I hate the aftertaste and the fact that my screwed up parents FORCED me to eat them as a kid. Some things stay with you FOREVER. Report
I have found that I really like yellow pea soup better than green pea... Report
Wow, sweet pea guacamole, an interesting concept although I think there is more nutritional benefits in avocado. Might try it if I ever need a quick substitution. Report

One thing I've learned about split pea soup...DO NOT STIR IT while it's cooking! It will turn into Split Pea Concrete. Let it do its thing, then when you're ready to serve, give it a stir. What looks like green-colored water will turn into a lovely creamy soup. Report
