Quell Your 3 p.m. Sweet Tooth
It's 3 p.m and you're craving something sweet. There's a box of doughnuts in the office kitchen, and a bag of cookies in the pantry. What do you do? How can you satisfy your sweet tooth without going overboard on fat and calories? Try one of these dozen sweet treats instead! Berry Nutty
Mix 2 Tbsp pistachios with 2 Tbsp dried cranberries. S-marvelous Smore
Break 1 sheet of graham crackers in half. Top with 1 jumbo marshmallow and 1 dark chocolate kiss. Heat in microwave for a few seconds until melted and gooey. An Old Favorite
Toast 1 slice whole-wheat bread. Spread on 1 Tbsp peanut butter and 1 Tbsp all-fruit spread. Banana-Butter
Slice 1 medium banana down the middle and fill with 1 Tbsp cashew butter (or other nut butter, such as peanut butter). Dust with cinnamon. Milk and Cookies
Dunk 2 fig cookies in 1 cup skim milk. I Scream, You Scream
Plop 1/2 cup low-fat ice cream into 1 wafer cone. Sweet and Salty
Alternate eating 4 dark chocolate Kisses and 1 ounce whole-wheat pretzels. Land of Milk and Honey
Swirl 1 Tbsp honey into 1/2 cup fat-free Greek yogurt. Fro-Yo Sundae
Place 1/2 cup frozen yogurt in a bowl. Top with 1/4 cup raspberries and drizzle on 1 Tbsp sugar-free chocolate sauce. Grape Nuts
Mix 1/2 cup fresh grapes and 1 ounce walnuts. Frozen Treat
Nibble on 1 frozen 100% fruit bar (with no sugar added). Berries 'n Cream
Top 1/2 cup fat-free vanilla pudding with 1/4 cup fresh (or frozen and thawed) strawberries. |

3/10/2009 11:53:32 AMI've always been a person that can't stop eating, even if I'm full (which was hard to get). Now I don't have that problem so much. One of the things that works for ME is to eat small meals, and smaller snacks throughout the day. I'm eating about every three hours. One, I don't feel deprived, and two, it keeps me from getting ravaging hungry. When I'm that hungry, I will fail, and overeat. Even if dinner's less than an hour away, if I feel myself getting super hungry, I give myself something on my "approved" list so that I don't overeat at mealtime. I hope this helps you! :) Good luck!

3/10/2009 10:54:21 AMIndividual packets keep me from having more than 100 calories and you get at least 20 of the little things in a bag. Quite a few in the bag compared to cookies where you only get 6 little ones.
