NOW IF THAT ISN'T A STORY OR ARTICLE TO READ YOU TEL;L ME. I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED IN SPARKPEOPLE, BURT I AM NOT GOING ANYWHERE. THIS IS MY SUCCESS STORY. - 4/4/2014 3:27:24 AM
  • I have lost more than 100 pounds and I credit SparkPeople with a good share of that success. It is such a new and strange feeling to be the one people come to for fitness advice. Thank you SparkPeople ! - 11/15/2013 4:15:36 PM
  • Add me to that List: I was featured on the Rachel Ray Episode "Weight Loss Wonders" although I was NOT Allowed to mention Spark People, the name of my Gym (Curves) or even Wal-Mart which is where I did some of my Walking:-(
I have also been featured on a Local TV Show "All About You" and the local Newspaper has done several Articles that included my Story. - 2/19/2013 10:00:12 AM

  • Whether I'm on a cover or not,SP has made me a success story! To some people, losing 20 lbs. isn't very much weight loss, but to me it HAS MADE ALL THE DIFFERENCE! Normal cholestrol levels, smaller waist and thigh size, smaller stomach size helps me eat less, higher metabolism helps me have more energy for my 3 yo and burn more calories !!!!And now the ultimate tests for me Thanksgiving --did NOT gain a pound & Christmas time --have been maintaining my wt.loss now[12/23/2010] for 7 mos. successfully ,not gaining at all! This TRULY is a LIFESTYLE change! - 12/23/2010 12:04:19 PM
  • Great Article. We are all in this together. Being positive and never giving up is key in any success story. I am still struggling but I am not giving up. I love to encourage others and I love to make others feel great about themselves.
In turn I get the reward of making others smile and of feeling good about myself. I know I can accomplish my goal of losing this 100 pounds I need to lose to get healthy again. I pray we all succeed along our journeys and that we continue to encourage one another. God bless you all! - 3/7/2009 1:59:23 PM

  • This is so true!!!!! I love Spark People and especially the support and encouragement. It is so great to be able to blog your heart out and someone will read it and respond. You never know who you are going to connect with. You are NEVER alone when you are a Sparker!!!!
I love sharing my story.....my trip to better health....I still have 40 pounds to lose...but I know I will do it. I have taken off 110 pounds and I feel 100 % better. I never have felt like I have been on a DIET. Nope...I just eat less. For example, tonight we went to a friends house for a social activity and dessert. We both weigh in in the morning at TOPS....so I took my zip lock bag and said....if you don't mind I will take my dessert to go and eat it for breakfast tomorrow after weigh in. She thought that was a great idea. I had just brushed my teeth before leaving home (that helps me not want to lose the "squeaky clean feeling" and I carried a couple of pieces of sugar free candy ...........just in case and some sugar free gum. Several people saw me carrying around my brownie in a zip lock bag and they said what a great idea.
I eat anything and everything......I just watch portions and timing. If these are tips that are helpful to someone great....because there is nothing new under the sun....we just share and grow healthier.

P.S. I will be 62 on my birthday in April and I want to be on t.v. or a magazine with my weight loss story to be able to help someone who thinks their weight is hopeless.
Actually my weight recorder at TOPS ask me to enter the "Most Improved Beauty Contest" for TOPS so I am completing the story, pictures and paperwork.
