Thanks for entering! The contest is CLOSED, and winners will be annouced soon!

Congratulations, SparkPeople Members! We've hit another milestone on our road to healthy living.

This weekend, we surpassed the 7 million pound mark! 7,000,000 pounds! That's 3,500 tons of body fat gone forever! Woo-hoo! 7 million pounds equals about 467 elephants, 45 loaded passenger airplanes or 23,333 NFL linebackers. Pat yourselves on the back for that accomplishment.

That's quite a feat.

To celebrate, the dailySpark is giving away four sets of Pilates body bands by Savasa (see below).

It's easy to enter. Just respond in the comments below and tell us what motivates you today.

You can find the official rules here, but remember NOT to comment on the rules! This contest starts now and runs until 9 a.m. EST Friday, March 6, 2009.

Thanks for helping us reach this milestone. We just keep losing! As I write, we're already up to 7,002,276 pounds--make that 7,002,278--and counting.

Don't forget to comment BELOW and tell us what's motivating you today? You could win a set of Savasa Pilates body bands!

My motivation is two fold, my health and my kids. I feel so much better after losing 70lbs. My kids keep me focused and energized. The support that is out here on SparkPeople is amazing. - 3/5/2009   10:17:39 PM

My motivation is looking back at those "before" pictures and knowing in my heart that I will never be there again. KNOWING that I now have the knowledge and the support to keep pushing forward even on those horrible days, those days you just want to dig in to something chocolaty, but instead I come here and see my rowdy Outlaws giving out those goyb and realizing I CAN AND WILL loose this weight.. - 3/5/2009   9:51:22 PM

I think the SP community in general motivates me. Not all teams are for everyone, but once you find your groove, watch out. Because this is a site where ppl are genuine. Since starting with SP I have cleaned up my eating habits, thanks in part to the fantastic nutritional tracker, not to mention the awesome insight from other members. I also cut out meat as my main ingredient at meals. I mostly eat fish now. I also quit drinking, after being a heavy drinker and I quit smoking. Thanks in part to all the support and unconditional motivation the members of this offers! Thanks SP! - 3/5/2009   9:50:53 PM

I am motivated by all that my body can do NOW that I've lost 60+ pounds. I'm training for my first half-marathon and what keeps me going and training is knowing, everyday, that I won't "lose it" 'cause I use it! Thanks, Spark, for helping me like moving again! - 3/5/2009   9:00:04 PM

What really motivates me is thinking about my dreams, the changes I want to make in life, and realizing that the weight has COST me some of these things to this point. Since I have had a weight problem nearly all my life, I used to believe when I was in my 20s that the weight "wouldn't really hold me back." But now, at 35, I'm confronted with the reality that my major life list of dreams looks basically just like it did in my 20's, meaning these things have gone unfulfilled. Finish my degree -- I've said I'll do it 'when I have more energy.' Start my own business -- I'm too tired from working a desk job to even concentrate to right a business plan, and not to mention feeling too HIDEOUS in my clothes to be taken seriously at a bank to apply for a loan. Owning my home free and clear -- I would take another job, at Starbuck's on the weekend, but then I remember that they make you wear a short sleeved shirt as a uniform, and I won't let anyone see my arms. All of these things didn't seem like a big deal at the time, but now after having 15 years of not achieving anything I REALLY want in life....I must put my health and fitness FIRST. These have to be the foundation for the life I will build. The life I want requires ENGERY...engergy I don't have dragging around 209 extra pounds. (But at least it's not 215 anymore. I've lost 6lbs since joining spark two weeks ago!!) What motivates me is the fact that I HAVE to CHANGE if I want to be my authentic self. If I donít change, the world will never know who I really am. And if I DO change, the world WILL know who I really am!!! - 3/5/2009   8:48:59 PM

Being on a sparkteam and part of a challenge motivates me. I know that I have to check in every week and that other people are counting on me. Having to journal my food everyday helps keep me accountable for the food that I am putting in my mouth. Knowing that I have to do 120 minutes of cardio every week pushes me to make sure I get every minute in. All of these things motivate me. But knowing that in the end I'm going to be soooo much healthier and skinnier gives me the most motivation. - 3/5/2009   7:56:54 PM

I'll soon be having my 1-year anniversary with SP. I am encouraged and motivated by just knowing that I am not alone in this struggle with weight and I can depend on Spark to give me the encouragement and instruction that I need, at whatever time I need it - - and to think - - this is free! It makes me know that someone understands and cares and THAT keeps me motivated! - 3/5/2009   7:03:34 PM

The need to teach my children how to make healthy chioces in thier lifes motivates me to lead by example. On the days that i really do not want to get off my booty and move I can always count on my kids to get me moving with a soccer game, some hula-hoop and our jump ropes! - 3/5/2009   6:43:52 PM

My motivation right now is being able to keep up with my 6 year old. Losing 22 pounds so far, in a year, but thats good for me. I can keep up with him, and he doesnt have a fat mom, okay overweight, but not FAT like I used to be! I didnt have any energy and it was horrible. Now I can stayup with him play bball with him, do other things like help with his karate. and its great. makes me a mom I want to be! I want to have another baby soon ,but I have very unhealthy pregnancies and lots of problems (already have one deceased child because of it) and I want to be as healthy as I can possibly be before I make that decision. I love spark people and I wear my bright orange shirt with pride! - 3/5/2009   6:41:28 PM

My motivation came from my doctor last week when I got the results of my 3 month blood tests. Would you believe that my bad cholesterol numbers went from 159 to 70??!! Yes you read it right and it all happened since my last tests. I attribute it to a combination of things. I've been on cholesterol meds for several years off and on but with all the things I'm learning on Sparkpeople and and support of its members I've been able to begin to live the healthy lifestyle I've always dreamed of. After having a heart attack last June I've made sleep a priority, watched what I eat more carefully as well as how much I'm eating, and I make sure I get at least 30 minutes of exercise 5 or 6 times a week, and have lost 15 pounds so far! It really is possible to turn your life around but for me it took joining this great group of people and friends I've found here. I have found knowledge, information, support , encouragement, and a new 'family' that really cares about helping me through all the way to my goal! Thank God for SparkPeople and thank God for all the wonderful friends I've met here!

Wishing everyone else the same great results. Here's to meeting your goals!

My motivation is the desire to be healthy now and stay healthy as I age. I want to be there for my kids, grandkids, and great grandkids and maybe even the great great grandkids. I want my body to be fit enough so I can be active and able to participate - not sit in a chair and watch as others do. - 3/5/2009   6:25:19 PM

I say, "I'm not dieting, I'm paying attention to myself." Caring for myself and having that nurturing and attentive self-care backed up, affirmed, encouraged by my fellow SparkWomen is what keeps me motivated. Because I'm well conditioned as a woman (by women) to first take care of everyone else, it's important for me to hear other women (and lots of them) give me permission, encouragement, and affirmation to take care of myself. - 3/5/2009   6:11:16 PM

What motivates me today and almost everyday is my team the Golden Gladiators (on the BLC9 challenge) as well as the idea of what I'm going to be, the person I'm going to be when I reach my short and long term goals!

I am motivated today by all the awesome people and success stories that I meet and read about on Sparks. I have found so many new people and new ways to lose weight by utilizing Sparks. My sparksNashville group meets regularly to Zumba together. I love that I can communicate with people all over the US that have the same interest as I do and that we all encourage each other to LOSE the Weight. Thanks to sparks. I tell everyone I meet about this site. - 3/5/2009   5:54:36 PM

I am motivated by: the changes I can see and the ones I can feel; the power of knowing I am in control - not my emotions or circumstances; by the fact that I want to get "better" not older!; by my awesome teammates and leaders - Charging Chocolate Centaurs; by the fact I live in Virginia Beach and bathing suits are a must; because I look forward to warm weather (like today! gorgeous) so I can add long walks to my exercise routine; by people I have met on SP including one that has become a great friend and wonderful encourager - even though she is several states away; by reading comments and stories like all of these, and finally, by a terrific husband, who loves me no matter how I look, but is so complimentary on what I have done. - 3/5/2009   5:39:14 PM

My biggest motivation is my health. Since I hit 45 (am 46 now) my body seems to be deteriorating from 20 yrs of being overweight and unactive. I have quite a few battles like bursitis in my hip, sleep apnea, etc. and believe my weight is causing most.
My many motivations are right here at SparkPeople! The challenges I've been on, the people that have comforted, listened, made suggestions, etc. and all the free tools that help me keep track of everything that matters so easily. - 3/5/2009   5:09:42 PM
