I am a TOTAL SparkPeople fan; love the site and recommend it often! I get lots of my menu ideas and recipes from you and will try some of these. BUT, before I even get to the recipes, I AM ASTOUNDED at the photograph used in the headline of this article!! A BASIC PRINCIPLE OF EATING promoted by SparkPeople is PORTION CONTROL. The steak being plated in this photo is THREE TIMES LARGER than the recommended "DECK OF CARDS" size serving. It's probably just a disconnect between the nutrition and graphics departments in-house, but I believe it's a significant error. Visual ques are a very big part of learning and remembering and, WE COUNT ON YOU to give us good examples of healthy eating, all the time! I'm sure you'll want to correct this. Thanks for continuing to be a good resource for me and thousands of others! - 6/22/2010   4:28:53 PM

Thanks for these recipes. I'm new to the grilling idea (outside of steaks, hamburgers, hotdogs).
Saved the pork chop and the tuna recipes to my cookbook - 6/22/2010   1:59:43 PM

I like to grill outside when it's nice out. I hate to cook inside, b/c I get all hot and then do not feel like eating. Or I will have some things like potato salad, deviled eggs and veggie trays done the day before. Grill chicken, hamburgers and hot dogs done on the grill. - 6/17/2010   11:04:17 PM

I think I've already tried all these recipes except for the Greek Chicken, so that's going on the menu for the coming week. It really sounds yummy. I'm thinking you could do lamb the same way. - 6/16/2010   12:09:07 PM

I love grilled food esp. veggies that are marinated in olive oil, lemon juice, oregano, garlic & black pepper.
    BUT....
What I really want to know is WHY is there a picture of someone being served what is CLEARLY way too much steak for one person. You see, this is what got me fat in the first place - seeing pictures of portions that are double what one ought to be eating, seeing people in restaurants being served plates large enough from which a family of three could eat, being asked if I want to make it a "value meal" with the bigger order of fires and drink.
Now I KNOW how much to eat and what is too much, however, in my opinion that picture sends the wrong message about portions. You wanna talk about portion distortion? Discuss. - 6/16/2010   10:11:50 AM

I'm grilling the pork chops (tenderlion) tonight. They were already on the menu, I will just use this seasoning option instead of winging it as I usually do.
And we'll have fresh broccoli from the garden with them! Yum! - 6/16/2010   9:45:45 AM
