Pumpkin soup-- don't serve with a crusty loaf of bread instead get small pumpkins from the store (there are a whole variety you can get even a hearty acorn squash is great for this) cut the top of the pumpkins and remove the guts just like you would do with carving (though cut the top a little lower so you have a wider opening) then pop in the oven to roast (some people like to sprinkle a little sugar I think it taste lovely without it) pop it out of the oven when it start browning on the top and the "meat" of the pumpkin is tender. Serve your soup in that. KIDS LOVE THIS. You can eat the bowl just like a bread bowl just stay away from the skin. Try it!
