I never feel comfortable with a Tablespoon of peanut butter. How do you accurately measure it!

I count carbs instead of calories. There are 15 grams per carb. I am allowed on my diet up to 4 carbs (60 grams) per meal and 2 (30 grams) per snack. This what the dietician put me on back in July of 2011. when I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetics. i've lost approximately 40 pounds since then. What also helps is a good brisk walk or housework. I do the housework on days I cannot walk. Sweeping, mopping, lifting, etc.

On the side of a plain yogurt carton serving size is 1/2 cup and is 17 carb grams. With a 1/2 cup of strawberries. It is a fantastic snack.

I refuse to eat "sugar-free" unless it is sweetened with stevia. Aspartame makes me dizzy and Sucralose upsets my stomach. I have given up "fake foods" completely and feel much better as a result.

Love the combination of a THIN slice of deli ham wrapped around a wedge of pear. YUM! Add a squeeze of lemon juice and a romaine leaf if you feel like really cooking!
