I read you post and it is so inspiring, I am also 70 years old and have Arthuritis. I don't know where to start as far as exercise. I am stil working. so going to a gym is out of the question. When i walk to my car i can hardly breathe. When i walk from my work to my car by the time i get to the car i am wheezing breathing hard. Would like to start out slow but lost as to what i should do.

Have your thyroid checked. Cut back to 1,000 cals. Walk more often adding hills to the route. Be in bed by 10pm. Don't eat after 6pm. Weigh yourself only every other day. In morning before eating.

I am struggle to eat right & exercise. I spoke to one of my doctors was told to count calories 1100 daily then stop eating,I have done this started to lose weight about 10 lbs. now for some reason I can't lose anymore. I walk about 30 minutes but not everyday this totally depends on my medical condition. I do a small amount of exercise at home. I was also told to buy a hula hoop to help me, it's been years since I've had a hula hoop.I will try can't hurt!!!

My personal mantra is "Just keep moving". I say it in ordinary life to encourage myself when I'm tired or distracted.

Everyone will struggle once in awhile. Even world class athletes have their moments when they would rather not workout. However, your motto is very appropriate-just keep going. I always try to remember the good feelings I have when my workout is done. The sense of accomplishment is priceless- so just keep going and you will reward yourself with those great feelings.
