I try not to give up but I feel defeated most of the time. I want to keep a close eye on the amount of food I consume but I get bored easy and I love food. My tummy growls and I am such an emotional eater. I have to be busy with my hands. I think when I quit smoking it was way easier then trying to lose 5 pounds

This is my mantra. I may delay but I never give up.

This is me. I'm stuck in between giving up or not. I'm on a plateau and I keep pushing bug no changes. Hopefully soon i will get through this.

Giving up means you are giving up on yourself. I heard this today on a TV show & it's powerful. Giving up is NOT an option anymore! Yes there are challenges & stresses but nothing I (we) can't handle.

I feel like given up sometime too. But I know in the long run I'll be ok. I just have to remember it took time butting it on so it we'll take time taking it off and just believe and love the weight you are even more while it's coming off. WE CAN DO IT

Only you can determine your success
Giving up in not an option
No matter how long it takes
And some of us may never reach goal
Including myself but at least we keep trying
And that is positive
One day at a time

Funny, CATDM7, I feel the same way. It feels like I will never make it sometimes. I get all excited about how good I am at biking, how good I feel about myself, how important it is to keep active to continue to have high spirits how by stopping to be active, I eventually crash.
I read the success stories and I can relate to some of the moments that were the beginning of it and triggered the definitive weight loss. Sometimes I feel as though I have had such a moment. But when I start thinking along those lines is when I start to slip up.
I also have been at it for so long and I'm scared my previous dieting has diminished my ability to loose.
I would like to find someone to help me stay with it, every time I go to a workshop of some sort on healthy living, I come out of there believing. At the same time, I can't face the pressure of someone looking at my results and doubting I put in my all.
I was watching Biggest Looser and I can't believe the pressure they got last week, the crap that was sent the contestants' way because the trainers, the woman trainer, felt they were not working hard enough, the blond woman anyway, sorry can't remember their names.
With the stress they were under, is anyone surprised no one lost a lot of weight!!!
We have all been through it where we are working our ass off and we don't loose when there is a lot of stress. Stress hormones will prevent weight loss because the stress is enough pressure for the body.
So I won't give up but I would like to feel proud of myself . I would like to feel sexy, attractive.
I wonder if I'm botching my attempts to loose weight because this way, if I don't meet a new man in my life, I'm recently divorced from a marriage that has left me doubting myself, I will be able to put it down to my weight instead of a more profound reason which makes me less interesting to men. Is anyone going to be awed with me, feel I'm really special?
