Motivational Quote - Patience is the key to paradise.

SparkPeople's Comments

It’s easy to lose patience with your kids or with co-workers. People can just be frustrating sometimes. But by being patient with people, you will allow them to prove themselves to you and to others. Hand in hand with patience comes encouragement, and you might be surprised by what a kind word can do to somebody. Give people time to learn things for themselves, offering gentle guidance throughout the way. If they make a mistake, don’t give up on them. Allow them to recognize the error and then correct it. It might take a couple of tries, but the result is worth it.

Slowing down a bit, intentionally, eases up on stress and is therefore an excellent source of health rarely talked about outside of various religious circles.

patience |ˈpā sh əns|
1 the capacity to accept or tolerate delay, trouble, or suffering without getting angry or upset : you can find bargains if you have the patience to sift through the dross.
2 chiefly British term for solitaire (sense 1).
lose patience (or lose one's patience) become unable to keep one's temper : even Lawrence finally lost patience with him.
ORIGIN Middle English : from Old French, from Latin patientia, from patient- ‘suffering,’ from the verb pati.
It is hard to trust the process.
It is hard to wait results that come slowly or without physical manifestations.
( like better blood pressure or lower cholesterol)
And it hurts not to have instant gratification for effort that seems fruitless.
And one of the meanings of patience is rooted in suffering.
But I can let time pass and not try to change
But when I eat healthier and exercise, my results will come.

Patience is indeed a virtue--- and it is ever so important to exercise this virtue with the elderly folks. As we age, we natually slow down. Our body slows and our mind as well. Please be patient with your elderly family members. Showing patience is showing them they are loved. Of course, we all benefit by receiving patience in life. Great quote!

Patience is a virtue. You win more people with honey than with anger or whatever.
Would we want someone to get angry with me?

Patience is a hard one to learn, but truly needed to succeed in every area of one life. Will continue to master til I leave earth's journey. World would be such a better place if ALL strive daily to master.

I think what we all must realize about patience is it takes time. Even when we become short with something we have done we need to learn to forgive ourselves and move on. Remember there is someone out there that is always worse off than you are.
