Janet Jackson Diet Secrets

Think you’re the only one who has trouble keeping off those pesky pounds?  Well do we have some great news for you!  Janet Jackson, who is known for her six-pack abs and sweat-inducing dance routines, is a self-proclaimed “yo-yo dieter”.  Janet most recently gained a significant amount of weight about a year ago, which she maintains was strictly required for a role in a movie.  Regardless, she obviously knows how to get back in shape.  With a new album out, Janet has shed her excess pounds to reveal that trim and sexy body beneath.  You might think a Janet Jackson diet might involve her brother and some type of unusual plastic surgery, but you'd be wrong.

 Janet uses an intense, personalized workout created by her long-time personal trainer Tony Martinez.  Her plan consists of:

  • Legs two times per week (reverse lunges, good mornings, toe-touches, and leg-press pushing back at a 30-degree angle).
  • Upper-body work two times per week (push-ups, pull-downs, chest flyes, biceps and triceps supersets and shoulder lateral raises).
  • Three days of intense abdominal training
  • Five to six days of cardiovascular exercise (including kickboxing, basketball, tennis, baseball, jumping rope, and running)

Now we’re not suggesting you too will become a singing and dancing pop sensation overnight, but if you keep at it, we may eventually see you shakin’ your stuff during the halftime at the next Super Bowl just like Janet.
