All of these instructions assume you are on the SparkRecipes site. There are two ways to get to SparkRecipes from SparkPeople: Click on SparkRecipes.com in the Quick Links on the right sidebar, or click on Healthy Lifestyle at the top of the page and select SparkRecipes.com from the dropdown menu.

How do I calculate the nutritional information for my recipe?
  1. Click the "Recipe Calculator" tab at the top of the page.
  2. Enter the ingredients, nutritional information and cooking instructions for your recipe.
  3. At the bottom of the page above "Save Recipe" is a checkbox. Leave the box checked to submit to SparkPeople's Shared Recipes Database or uncheck the box to keep it from being shared. (Then click "Save Recipe."
  4. Click on "Recipe Box" at the top of the page, and your recipe will now appear there.
How do I edit or delete my recipe, or change the shared status of my recipe?
  1. Click on "my Recipes," then "Recipe Box" at the top of the page.
  2. Next to each recipe is an orange button to edit or delete your recipe, and remove it from or add it to the shared database.
I found a recipe I liked and saved it. How do I find it again?
  1. Click on "my Recipes," then "Recipe Box" at the top of the page.
  2. Your saved recipes are listed in your recipe box under "My Favorite Recipes" below your submitted recipes.
How do I add a recipe to my meal planner?
  1. Find the recipe you want to add to your meal planner.
  2. Below the nutritional information is a link that says "Add This Recipe to Meal Planner."
  3. Click on the link that will open a small calendar. Select the date to which you'd like to add the food.
  4. Select the serving size, the meal you'd like to add it to, and check the box if you'd like to save to your favorites for future use.
  5. Click on "Add Food to Today" and the recipe will now show up in your tracker.
How do I add a recipe to my cookbook?
  1. Find the recipe you want to add to your cookbook.
  2. Near the top of the page are five orange buttons, one of which says "Add Recipe to a Cookbook."
  3. Click on the button and choose which cookbook you would like to add it to. You can also add a comment on the recipe that will show up in your cookbook.
  4. Click the "Add Recipe" button.
How do I find my cookbook?
  1. Click the "Recipe Calculator" tab or "my Recipes," then "Recipe Box" at the top of the page.
  2. At the top of either page is a link to "My Cookbooks."
  3. Click the link to see your cookbook.
How do I get my recipe to show up on my SparkPage?

    I have found that the calculations for carbs are way off. I entered 2 cups of Splenda for a recipe, and it showed as 96G of carbs. Per the Splenda label, there should be none! I realize that the actual amount is "less than 1 gram" but this is entering it as 1 gram per teaspoon. Are these nutrition facts entered by users, or do they come from the manufacturer? This was showing the recipe having TWICE as many carbs as it actually does. Not helpful - 1/8/2013 10:06:45 AM
