Sometimes, we have a bad habit of looking down upon those age groups to which we do not belong. “Kids these days” really aren’t that bad. And try listening to those older than you; they’ll probably have gone through some of the same experiences and have some wisdom to share. We all go through days where life seems to be a struggle, where the road seems a little bumpy. Doesn’t it seem to smooth things out to have somebody there to support you? Why can’t you be that support for somebody else? Maybe a friend or family member is having a hard time with something; you know that your help and assurance would be a positive force for them. Lend them your hand, and come with an open ear. Listen more than you talk and do what you can to make their troubles a little bit easier.
