Motivational Quote - What a man accomplishes in a day depends upon the way in which he approaches his tasks.

SparkPeople's Comments

Do you go to work each day grudgingly, or do you approach things with a cheerful attitude and view them as challenges? This distinction can really make a difference. You’ll waste more energy complaining about or dreading something than if you were to just go ahead and get it done. You’ll make better use of your time, as well, by just going for it. Are there days when you sit at work or somewhere else just looking at the clock, the minutes creeping by? This could be because you are avoiding your work and don’t really want to put in the effort. But on days when you bury your head in your work, accomplishing a lot, it might seem like time just flew by. So have the right attitude. Whistle while you work.

A smile can turn many grouchy attitudes, if you don't give up.

Imagine, working with a pleasant, cheerful person-- or working with a complaining grouch.
Lesson: Don't be the grouch!
My nickname was Pollyanna, and that was a very nice nickname to have. (so is Smiley)!!

I love this quote! In my job I work with the elderly and give showers to some really difficult people. I have earned the nickname smiley because I don't want to join the complaining squad at work. I do have my moments but over all I do whistle and keep an uplifting song in my head while working.

I actually adopted this attitude last week after some really difficult weeks at work lately. It has truely given me the energy to not only keep going, but to see the strengths I do have. I'm even finishing others' work. My stress levels have dropped and I'm ready for each new day. Good-bye Self-Sabatoge!
