Motivational Quote - One man's creativity is another's brain damage.

SparkPeople's Comments

If you accept someone else's idea of reality and personal limits, you'll have no control over your own destiny.  You can only go as far as that view will let you.  Do you normally accept things as they are, or do you ask "why" and "what if"?  Being an individual and thinking for yourself even while others are calling you crazy takes courage.  For many, trying a new perspective is scary.  But if we always stick to the familiar, the known, we never grow and learn.  Don't be afraid to go against the grain.  Ask the tough questions that everyone else is afraid to ask. Try a new way to do the same thing just to see what happens -- we guarantee you that the world won't end.  You'll see solutions that nobody else would see if they're all looking at a problem the same way.  Practice new ways to combine unrelated objects.  After all, somebody had to try peanut butter and jelly for the first time.

To thine own self be true. An old quote but very revealing. BE YOURSELF.

we are pack animals but it's so important not to define ourselves by other ppl's expectations. That is dangerous.

Oh yes ask questions the same one everyone is thinking but afraid to ask because they do not want to be foolish but you only find out it is not foolish and you had the courage to ask it one question/day at a time

"If you accept someone else's idea of reality and personal limits, you'll have no control over your own destiny."

Can you just feature that as a motivational quote?

It all comes down to making your own decisions and not rely on what someone else is doing. Your time, your choice. It's pretty simple. I agree with Aladdin that being creative should not damage anyone. If you don't step out, and if you don't try, you may never succeed. This is how people like "Art Fry" inventor of post it notes got started. He simply glued pieces of paper together. Look at how rich this man is by doing something so easy.

"Practice new ways to combine unrelated objects." I think this is exactly what we can do. Sometimes we just do mistakes and descover new ways...
But being creative should not damage anyone. Thinking for yourself it's normal and means self-responsibility.
