Her boots may have been for walkin’, but Jessica Simpson obviously does a little more with those boots in order to keep a body like that! To make sure she looked extra-great for her role as Daisy Duke in The Dukes of Hazzard, the former Mrs. Lachey employed the services of fitness guru and personal trainer Mike Alexander. He stayed with her nearly 24/7 for the three months leading up to the role in order to make sure she abided his no-excuses diet, which consisted of mostly grilled chicken, seared fish, broccoli, and asparagus. Not on the list: breads, extra sugars, and desserts. Jessica’s daily exercise routine consisted of one hour of weights and 30 minutes of cardio. The main exercises were lunges and squats, which helped her get a firm butt. She used light weights combined with high repetitions to make sure she didn’t get too bulky. The idea was to make her smooth and toned too look great with them Daisy Dukes on. These days however, Jessica says she has more relaxed approach to her eating and exercising habits. She claims to work out two hours a day, five days a week. The routine is comprised of 45 minutes of strength training, and 30-45 minutes of cardio. The strength training sessions includes squats and lunges (3x20) and also squat jumps. However, even if you follow the Jessica Simpson diet plan, we still don’t recommend that you “wash” a car in a string bikini. |
