Sweepstakes is open to legal residents of the 48 contiguous states, Alaska, Hawaii and the District of Columbia, who are 18 years or older at the time of entry. (We’re sorry, we’d love to include members outside of the United States in the sweepstakes, but the legal work involved is too overwhelming – we’d prefer spending our resources improving the site!) Employees of SparkPeople ("The Sponsor"), Inc and affiliated entities, and their immediate families (spouse, parents, children, siblings and their spouses) and individuals living in the same household as such employees are ineligible. Void where prohibited or restricted by law. HOW TO ENTER: No purchase is necessary to participate in the sweepstakes. The entry period is January 1, 2011 through December 31, 2011. To enter: 1. Log in to SparkPeople.com (or register for a free account if you are not currently a member). 2. Join SparkPeople's Official "8-Week Diabetes Weight Loss Challenge" SparkTeam by visiting http://teams.sparkpeople.com/DiabetesChallenge and clicking on the “Join This Team” button. 3. Log your fitness minutes using SparkPeople.com every week and accumulate at least 75 total minutes per week AND make at least one post in the Diabetes Weight Loss Challenge SparkTeam each week. In order to be eligible, you must track your fitness minutes using either QuickTrack or “Add Cardio” button from your fitness tracker page (https://www.sparkpeople.com/myspark/fitness2.asp) to be eligible for weekly drawings. To be eligible for quarterly grand prizes, you must remain a member of the 8-Week Diabetes Weight Loss Challenge SparkTeam AND have completed the challenge as indicated by checking off each of the 8 boxes next to each of the action steps at the top of the SparkTeam page. JUDGING: Winner(s) will be selected by random drawing from all eligible entries received on or about drawing date by Sponsor whose decisions are final and binding on matters relating to this sweepstakes. Odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received. PRIZES: Weekly prizes: Each week, three (3) eligible people who have tracked at least 75 minute of exercise per week and made at least one post in the 8-Week Diabetes Weight Loss Challenge SparkTeam (as outlined above) will win a $20 gift certificate redeemable at SparkPeopleStore.com AND a $25 store credit to AbbottStore.com. Grand prize: Every quarter in 2011, one (1) eligible person who has completed the challenge will win a SparkPeople Fitness Prize Pack (valued at $200). Odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received. Winners shall be responsible and liable for all federal, state and local taxes on the value of their prize. Please allow 6-8 weeks for prize delivery. Prizes cannot be exchanged or redeemed for any cash value. NOTIFICATION: Winners will be notified by e-mail and may be required to complete and return within 14 days of notification their complete mailing address. Failure to return the needed information within 14 days of receipt will result in forfeiture of the prize and Sponsor may award it to an alternate winner chosen by random drawing of eligible entries. By participating in this promotion and submitting an entry, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decision of the Sponsor. If, in the Sponsor's exclusive judgment, this promotion becomes compromised in any way, Sponsor reserves the right to withdraw the promotion offer, cancel any method of entry, to void any entries submitted fraudulently or select winners from all eligible entries received prior to act that compromised the promotion.
