Free Mobile Applications from SparkPeople

Diet, Fitness and Weight-Loss Tools for Your Cell Phone

Wish you could take SparkPeople with you when you're away from home?

You can!

Did you know that we've created special (and still FREE) versions of some of our key features for you to use on your internet-connected mobile phone? Now you can track your progress and stick with your goals, even when you can't get to your computer!

If you have a phone with a web browser you can use our "Mobile Web" version of the site. Simply go to Mobile.SparkPeople.com on your phone. We've optimized our key features so you can use them on a small phone browser. You can track your food and cardio, and you can also look up foods (including browsing by restaurant name).

In addition to the mobile version of the site that can work on any internet-connected mobile phone, we have SparkPeople and SparkRecipes applications for iPhone/iPod Touch, Google Android, and Blackberry!

iPhone/iPod Touch

Diet & Fitness Tracker:
If you own an iPhone or iPod tTouch, then you can download SparkPeople's application, the iPhone Food & Fitness Tracker, to stay on track when you're on the go!  There are three ways to download the application: The application allows you to log in to your SparkPeople account to:
  • Track your food with our calorie tracker
  • Access your meal plans (if you have them turned on)
  • Track your fitness and calories burned with our cardio tracker
  • View a quick glance screen of your calories eaten and burned for the day
  • Weigh in and view weight progress graphs
  • Track your water intake
  • Monitor your progress with detailed weight and calorie reports 
Our iPhone Diet & Fitness Tracker will fully sync with your current SparkPeople.com online account. (Note that all features require a Wi-Fi, 3G, or Edge network connection.)

We are continually working to enhance the application, and we would love to hear from you! We encourage iPhone and iPod touch users to join our iPod SparkPeople Application User SparkTeam to share feedback, ask questions, and more.

SparkRecipes Application:
In addition to the Diet & Fitness Tracker, we also offer access to our full collection of healthy, user-submitted recipes via the SparkRecipes application. You can browse recipes by cuisine, dietary needs and course, email recipes to friends and view full nutritional info.

Google Android
Diet & Fitness Tracker:
This application provides our core food, fitness, and weight tracking features on your Android. You can log in to the application with your SparkPeople.com username and password. This will automatically synchronize all your data, whether you track online or on your Android. The application allows you to log in to your SparkPeople account to:
  • Track your food with our calorie tracker
  • Access your meal plans (if you have them turned on)
  • Track your fitness and calories burned with our cardio tracker
  • View a quick glance screen of your calories eaten and burned for the day
  • Weigh in and view weight progress graphs
  • Track your water intake

To download, you can: SparkRecipes Application:
If you have a Google Android mobile phone, you can download and run the free SparkRecipes "Healthy Recipes" application. This application lets you browse or search 2,000 of our best recipes. You can then save them to your favorites, and, like all our recipes, see calories and nutritional information for each recipe. 

The application is quite easy to use. We make our top 2,000 recipes available on the application. When you first install the application, we give you 150 recipes, and then every few minutes while the application is open we download more. You can always see the number of recipes on your device by going to the "About" page of the application.

While you cannot leave a rating right from the application, every recipe has a link to "View Online." If you click that, you can view the recipe in your phone's Internet browser, where you can then log in, rate recipes or add them to your SparkPeople.com meal planner.

Blackberry

SparkRecipes Application:
Our entire collection of more than 200,000 user-submitted recipes is available via your SparkRecipes for Blackberry application. You can search by category, access nutrition info and even rate recipes. You can also save your favorites.

You can also join our SparkPeople Blackberry Users SparkTeam to share feedback, ask questions, and meet others who are using their Blackberrys to get healthy.
