Secrets of Success

Logging When You Eat!!

If you have the chance to log your meal or snack right away while you are eating or or directly after, you won't have to try to remember what you ate throughout the day and this way, you are less likely going to forget what you ate when its time to log it in.

More Information:

When I am out and away from my computer, I carry a small pad and pen and write down everything I eat at the time so when I get to a computer I can just pull out the list instead of trying to remember!

  • That is exactly what works for me too, however, I do not always have the chance to log in immediately and what I do is write down in a little notebook what I ate. Also, I sometimes will first log what I intend to eat the total day, so I will be sure that I am staying within my limits. That has really helped me a lot. - by BRADIA
I used to carry a little notebook in my purse where I would jot down food when I was away from the computer. Then I would write down my fitness on the back side of the page so I had everything in one place.

Don't forget to use the favorites for foods & exercises you eat or do most often. It makes entering everything in quicker. - by HEIDISO
  • Or if you have a smart phone SP has apps that let you add your foods right from your phone. I love the Android one (I just wish it let you add vitamin values when you manually enter foods). - by MIRDREAMS

  • Great idea! I downloaded the i-phone app which is good but not perfect if I'm eating/drinking something that's not listed (this happens quite often with branded products as I'm in the UK). I'll start writing in my diary as I always have that with me xx - by SAFFSTAR
