Becoming A Runner

I have NEVER been a runner in my life. I started the journey this spring and all it takes is mind over matter. Whenever I felt like stopping, my mind wouldn't let me. Slowy add more to your run and just continue to tell yourself I know I can do it!!

I am like you - never thought that I would run again in my 50's but took a challenge and now am doing the C25K and just about at the end of the 9 weeks...and I love it. emoticon - by BIKERNUT
  • Hi Butterly. Just checking. I saw your comment bout not feeling good. Are you okay? Take care of yourself! :) Maybe slow down a bit and just walk?Yesterday I went for a bike ride with my fellow spark friend and neighbor Kristan and we were going to run a little but walked. My body was like, thank you! I soaked in the sun, the fresh air, had a nice conversation with Kristan and just felt like phew. What a nice thing to just walk and soak up the surroundings. Sometimes you need to just breathe :) Wow. We are expecting alot from ourselves! :) Take care. Let me know how you are doing, okay? :) You want to enjoy the climb, don't forget, it is not just getting there. It should be fun along the way, right? I hope you feel better. I hope the weather is good there. We are enjoying GREAT weather here finally 70s and sunny and just beautiful finally. No rain today, wow! :) have a great great day!!!!!
