Do you find it hard to get your 10,000+ steps a day? Well, learn to walk in place every chance you get. You can do this when talking on the phone, watching tv, or just anytime you feel like it. Before you know it, you'll be recording more steps on your pedo than you've ever seen before.

  • Leslie Sansone workout videos are "walk in place" workouts and have been very effective for me. She has a wide variety of workout levels, including some with weights.

  • I have 2 little dogs that need walking - everytime we walk, tho, they have to stop & sniff very often. I started early on either dancing or walking in place, or doing squats or stretches while I wait for them. emoticon - by DESERTDREAMERS
  • I do that myself. I find that getting to 10.000 on a workday is simple (I work in retail, so I walk all the time), but my days off provide a challenge. I step when I'm getting gas and when I'm preparing food (except when I'm cutting things; I'm not that graceful!). It totally helps bump up the count. - by KATRENIAH
  • I walk every day, at least 2 miles and have only used the pedometer to measure those "exercise" steps. I think I'll wear it all day tomorrow, just to see how many steps I really do walk a day. - by CATTIANN
