Secrets of Success

When I Don'T Feel Like Exercising...

When I don't Feel Like Exercising... I just tell myself that I'm only going to do this for 15 min. That usually does the trick to get me started. Then, of course, I usually end up exercising longer! emoticon

  • At the suggestion of LISANANCY I have substituted the word "Investment" for "Exercise" in my vocabulary whenever possible.

  • I also try the 15 minute trick when I don't want to exercise. My other trick is bribing myself. If I can stick with my program for 30 days in a row I get to go get something I really want as long as it is not food. Most times I get another weaving toy - by SHAROND52

  • I do the same thing, only it's 'just 10 minutes.' Unless I was really sick, had to drag myself out of bed (happened only once or twice in two years, but didn't want to break my streak), that 10 minutes has always turned into 30, 60 or even more.
