Indian Favourite Khichri



I use Bulghur/Oats/Quinoa/Amaranth Seeds instead of Rice with mixed Pulses/Dals to make a thick Indian stew called Khichri.I also add different fresh Vegetables and season this with 1-2 tbsps. Ghee to which I add various Dry Spices like Cinnamon Bark etc.I eat it with fresh Yoghurt and Cucumber Dip

This forms a complete Meal and one can rotate the Vegetables to suit one's taste.Use slit Green Chillies to spice it up or add dried Red Chillies to the Seasoning Ghee along with the other Spices(Khadaa garam Masala) and pour scorching hot over the dish and cover with a lid.
