All Ya Gotta Do Is Bounce!



Exercising as a big person is very challenging. I do not think everyone knows this. About 75 pounds ago it was very hard for me to exercize....and I am not talking motivational wise. I'm talking actually moving.

SO.....I went out and got myself a core stability ball. Pretty much I just sat on it and bounced. I lost my first 25 pounds that way. I know! Doesn't sound like much does it? But, when you haven't actually been able to exercise this is exercise. The bouncing turned into almost like a job....and then dancing on the ball. I am not small by any means now....and I still enjoy a good core stability ball dance session. It is quite easy and VERY fun believe it or not. Get your favorite FAST music on your mp3 player, watch your favorite show on tv...whatever you want to do and just start bouncing. Pretty soon you will catch yourself dancing on that ball. I also added a few exercise moves I found on a core stability ball site that added some more core exercise to my routine. MOVE MOVE MOVE! Doesn't matter if you are standing for it or not. All that matters at this point is that you are moving and adding exercise to your day. It does make you feel good when you are done to know that you have worked out. I always thought that was just silly. But there is just something about having exercised and accomplished something that just makes you feel really good about yourself. No one can make you do it. You have to want to. You are the one that says yes or no to exercise.

So, my advice to all of you that are where I was..and not wanting to go out in front of people and exercise or it is just too hard for your knees and feet at the moment...JUST BOUNCE BOUNCE BOUNCE! emoticon

  • A coworker uses a ball as her office chair. Just sitting on it all day strengthens her core. I have a ball (needs inflated), but I might just take it to work to sit (and bounce when nobody's looking)! - by MICHELLERDA
