Secrets of Success

Every Day Is Day One

Any time I messed up when working towards a goal, it was too easy to quit. "Well, I already failed, one more soda won't make much difference." Now I remind myself, "Every day is day one." Had a soda yesterday? Today is day one. Today I can keep trying.

  • This is so true. I had a Weight Watcher leader once tell us you wouldn't throw out an entire dozen eggs just because you broke one so why would you "throw" away an entire day of eating just because you over ate 1 meal! - by LKS2GAB2
Hey, I really like that! It helps to keep things fresh and knocks "Overwhelming" down to a manageable size! Great way to keep things in perspective! It echoes what my father always said, "Pace yourself." Wise words from the sweetest, most humble man I have ever known! It also reminds me of the line in an old song (which he used to sing to me!), "Pick yourself up, brush yourself off; and start all over again!". Thanks for reminding me of that, and him! - by ABICATB
Each day we wake up, we get a fresh start in creating our day. All we have to think about is Right Now. There's no need to feel overwhelmed by the months ahead. Just take today as a gift, and be kind and caring to ourselves. Exercise because it makes our bodies feel better. Eat healthy food, because our bodies works better when they're not clogged with sugars and junk food. Living in the Present Moment gives us energy (instead of being dragged down by the past woulda-shoulda thinking, and future worries). emoticon - by MOTIVE8ED
