Secrets of Success

Early Indulgence

For me, I try to put off my small indulgences to have with breakfast. If I am craving something sweet, I make myself wait until the following morning to indulge: "Ok... I will have one oreo cookie with my greek yogourt and raspberries." I find that this stops me from going crazy for the day, because I have a specific plan to indulge--and then most of the time when breakfast the next morning rolls around I no longer feel like indulging.

  • I would think that one would rid their house of junk food. What nutritional value does a cookie have? Spend time and money of food that will feed your body the nutrients it needs and quite possibly loose weight. When you crave those cookies, stop at a store and buy a single serving pack and enjoy with no guilt. I've also found that when you get a craving, usually it's your body saying I'm thirsty. Try drinking some water first (not just a sip) and wait to see if that craving goes away.
