Making Rice

Instant rice and microwave rice is expensive! I buy a 2-pound package of regular rice and cook the entire bag on the weekend when I have time. I let it cool and measure it out in sandwich bags, one cup to a bag. Put the baggies into a gallon size freezer bag and voila! I have my own, inexpensive instant rice. Just microwave for one minute and eat!

We switched to a Netflix / Hulu combination a little over a year ago and we have no intentions of ever going back. It's 18.00 a month, a that way we get movies AND tv whenever we want.

We originally got Netflix because we wanted to watch back seasons of shows, but when our schedule got a little more hectic, we bought Hulu too! Perfect solution. Who has time (or the money) to pay for cable anymore? - by KELLAORION
  • I'm so trying husband is not so big on rice and the primary cook in our kitchen and he prefers pasta as a starch....this way I can have a premesured portion ready to go and no extra work for him :) - by GG1981
