Secrets of Success

Sunday Cooking

To keep myself on track for the week I cook several items on Sunday to use for quick meals during the week. I boil 6-8 eggs and keep them at eye level for quick breakfasts or snacks. I cook a couple of chicken breasts and cut them up for salads or wraps. I cook some dishes like salsa chicken and turkey meatballs. This has really helped on busy weeknights to know there is a quick meal at home and no excuses to pick up fast food. emoticon

  • I try to do the same thing, but if I can't motivate myself to cook, I always prep smoothies. Every morning I eat a fruit smoothie with 5-8 different fruits and spinach. On Sunday, I cut up fresh fruit, freeze it, and then portion out the right amount of each fruit into tupperware. Each morning, I just grab one tupperware of mixed fruit, some yogurt and juice, throw it in the blender and I'm done! - by KISAKATT

I try to do this too. Some weeks are better than others. I wish I could be a bit more consistent about it. - by KATYDID412
  • I try to do this also...usually get my husband to grill outside at least three helps so much! - by LADYZAPPED
  • I sometimes prepare for the week and it is much easier for staying on track because when I don't and I need something to eat, it may not be the healthiest, it is most likely something quick - by BAPSANN
